Comedian and actor Dan Aykroyd joins Emmy-winning interviewer Ernie Manouse for a half-hour to discuss his days on Saturday Night Live, his relationship with John Belushi, the formation of the Blues Brothers, his interest in the House of Blues, his belief in the UFO phenomenon, and the possibility of a third Ghostbusters installment. Every episode of InnerVIEWS with Ernie Manouse is available on DVD at houstonpbs.org.

I was born in the same hospital as Dan Aykroyd but about 4 months earlier. My family moved from Ottawa to Edmonton in late 1955 where we lived on the old Griesbach army base until 1964. I could have been one of Dan's playmates/buddies/friends but it never happened. I would love to meet Dan Aykroyd. Oh well. (Note: I was also raised as as a Roman Catholic.) Interestingly I have also been interested in UFOs for most of my life having owned and read a paperback copy of the book Interrupted Journey in 1965. I might still have that book around somewhere.

You can tell Dan would rather not talk about JB. He loved him so much. Also that there was so much more to do.We all miss him. Both very talented men.

Anti-gravity technology has been worked on since the late 20,'s so by 1950 you are most likely seeing humanity's toys, it took 30 years from Wright brothers to jet air planes, so where must we be now win anti-gravity craft? TT BROWN shows us anti-gravity list in a vacuum chamber right hear on you tube. the stealth bomber has this technology used on it. The Tr3-b is a ineradicable series of craft built in the late 80"s to 90's.

Why would you think an interview is any different than any other performance. It's an unnatural setting and most talented performers should be insecure or uncomfortable when being interviewed.

bensambob2000 I would be the same way. It’s like how many times can you say “he was my best friend. Of course i miss him.” I lost my best friend 18 years ago and I know exactly how he feels. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to have everyone ask about my best friend every time I was interviewed. Plus seeing him on tv every so often when I least expected it.

You realise he donated to a Republican campaign ONCE, right? Out of seven recorded campaign donations, he went GOP once. The rest of the donations were to the Democrats or the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party...specifically, for the latter, to Al Franken, whom he used to work with on SNL in the 70s, so of course he's gonna support his campaign. $2300 to GOP vs. $19900 to the Dems, and you're calling him scum because he's supposedly Republican. Uh?
