There is simply no way that I would ever have done this alone. No. way. I'm not going to lecture on the dangers here, all I mean is simply that I would have been terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought. Something about this place is absolutely awful, maybe the worst of the places I've seen you visit, not because there was a special incident or anything, but just because the environment is that unnerving. The fact that it occasionally sounded like someone was in there with you only further cements how godawful the thought of being trapped or pursued in that place is. Infinite kudos to you, Sir.

I personally love hearing you talk about the locations you visit, gives an extra dimension to them. Thank you for taking the time to do the commentaries you do :) I hope you do go back and take people with you, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see that video! ;) Maybe this has already be dealt with, in which case dismiss this next bit :D but I'm pretty concerned about that gas leak you talked about. Surely that needs looking at/fixing? Have you reported it to anyone? Surely the build up of gas has the potential to explode, no? And that's not even touching on the dangers of CO/CO2. I just want you (if you go back), other possible explorers and anyone else potentially living there to be safe :)

after the first visit where there was a shadow of a person on the door at the bottom of the grand staircase...im surprized you went back at night...you are one brave man...wild horses would not drag me back in there...love your vids by the way

I'm curious about what all those VHS tapes have.

I don't know if you have ever lived in an older house but they make lots of noises at night. Usually 4-5hrs after the sun goes down the wooden joints in the house begin to adjust to the different temperature. Don't know if this makes sense but that might explain the noised that sounded like people walking around. Now I don't know exactly what you heard and my house was no where near the size of that house but I've been waken up at night due to the noises in my old house.

I more recently watched this on my big TV, and, for the first time, I was really able to hear what Dan is talking about. Then, with the right headphones, I listened in, using my phone KZfaq app, and, yeah, you can clearly hear this stomping, and these thuds, and, at one point, clearly a voice, muffled behind the walls. The freakiest part is when you clearly hear something being stepped on, and crunched up, loudly, almost, at first, sounding like a can being crumpled, which is when Dan's breath gets quivery. And Dan isn't moving. You hear something like that again, and he turns, quickly, and it just stops. At one point, just as Dan is about to say "what's going on...", or something like that, you can clearly hear what sounds almost like a more masculine male's voice talking, which is clearly not one of the thuds. And the thuds really do sound like someone is moving a chair, or sofa around, at times.

I like the original videos best but I like when you talk while exploring, especially with a partner. I like these cutting rooms though too, but I like hearing your emotions and such while your actually exploring.

At first I thought the video with the abandoned apartments and people coming in was the scariest. I've changed my mind. This place js unbelievably creepy, and that's watching it from my phone. I couldn't even imagine experiencing this in real life. It also made me wonder why only some rooms were locked, very weird. Have you been to spring grove? It's a huge property and a lot of the building as still in use its the oldest asylum that still runs. It's amazing! It's in Catonsville I found it just by driving around trying to find cool places

Dan, I like that you are not taking a side on the noises you hear. I honestly can't take a side myself, although I do believe in the paranormal. If it is people they must not be violent, or I would think that they would have confronted you to try to rob you. If you can hear them so easily they surely must hear your footsteps as well, maybe even see your light. It's one of those mystery's that we will probably never know the truth about for certain.

Don't feel bad for being scared shitless when you go to these places. We have an almost 10 year old daughter who is terrified of going into the bathroom at night even with the light on and the door is open. You are very brave! I know you probably don't want to accept it, but I'm sure you probably have had some paranormal experiences here as well as some other places you have been. No one never wants to believe it is true until it happens to them. When we had our last dog put down we could hear him walk the floor for almost 2 years after he passed. It was so hard to believe and to this day we still have a hard time believing it, but it happened. We don't blame you though for not taking sides on this, it sure is easy to piss people off these days (they are so touchy). Any how keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!
