Yep. Very hurt. His dad (ED) screwed Dan up really bad and Dan's mother as well. When somebody is drunk they tell the truth because they are so smashed that all of their inhibitions and the filter they have when they are sober goes out the window and they really don't care who hears and they just let it out.

@TheSapphireDragon1 I kind of wish they had featured him more on the show. I feel like he went through a lot. His dad died in a freak accident when he was young, it was just him and his mom for a while before Dan's father married Crystal.

David vs Goliath. A hammer to the temple while Dan is looking away and Dan would be on the ground while Crystal calls an Ambulance. My cousin smashed a Lamp on his Mothers Boyfriend and the shards were so close to an Arterie on his neck that he could've died, needed stitches, glue and everything. PoS OD'ed with his Biological Son a few months back.

I love Dan's expression when Lonnie squares up to him. Dan may be drunk and angry, but he finds Lonnie's bravery admirable and hilarious at the same time. Maybe it reminded Dan of how he defended his own Mom.

God I hate how much I relate to this. I didn’t destroy other peoples’ places but I destroyed my own while drunk & breaking down from the pain & trauma my family caused me. I went to rehab & Im 6 months sober & seeking therapy so I can never be this way again. Life can be so hard but don’t ever think alcohol will help you because it won’t

Dan's dad wasn't there for Dan or Dan's mom he always left when he didn't want to be there and Dan took care of his mom by himself all those years and the cherry on top was the fact that he sent back every letter and birthday card Dan sent ed Jr and his sister back to Dan not wanting Dan to be in their life! I don't blame Dan but he went about it all wrong

Ed was a traveling sales man and the scene after this made it seem like it was more complicated than Ed not wanting to be with his family becauseit was to tough. Plus the Letter thing from the Connors makes no sense I honestly think who ever wrote that had no idea this episode existed or that Crystal was also in the revival season of Roseanne.

Tbh, as sad as this scene is, Dans dad is a weirdo. His father knew this girl since she was a child since Roseanne and her were friends and Dan and Roseanne were together since Highschool so I’m sure he’s seen her around as a teen. As a kid I was on Crystals side but as an adult I feel like his father exhibited groomer behavior.
