It needs expression control for the clock the best sounds come from moving it while playing

Mine hisses when the clock is too the left but sounds great when turned to the right. How come your unit is not producing any hiss? Did I get a lemon? 9 volts 110milliamps. Sounds great on the right but unusable when clock slid to the left. Holla back baby
