This video features Sondre Lerche & his band, The Faces Down. However, the female wedding singer in the clip is an actress, not the actual singer (Lillian). Just in case you're wondering :)

Well part 2 kind of squashed the happy ending though...... In the second one, she cheats on Dan. He walks in on her boinking their pool boy and they get divorced..... She takes him to the cleaners in court. He loses his house, his retirement, and has to pay alimony..... He contemplates suicide eventually. The movie ends with the final scene being him seated at the table with the side of his face resting on a pile of pancakes (like the original movie cover).....

I love this scene.. its so happy, especially after Dan has gone through all that misery. Makes me cry every time. (And i watch it alot :) )

I nearly died when I saw Sondre Lerche. Hahaha...My mom had been asking me for the whole movie who had done the soundtrack, and I kept telling her, "Sondre Lerche, mom!" When I saw him, I jumped up and screamed, "IT'S HIM!" el-oh-el.

The female voice belongs to Lillian Samdal. The song is a duet between Sondre Lerche & Lillian.

As far as I know, this is the only song she's done, but I could be wrong! I think she's a friend of Sondre & when he experimented with the song in the studio, he found that it sounded much better when she sang along :)

This movie was great. I kind of wish that the reconciliation of Dan and Mitch happened in the film, of course in the wedding scene we see Mitch there so I would assume it happened but I do wish that got a scene in the film.

With all due respect, the woman singing in the video (in place of Lillian Samdal) is actually Marci Occhino, not Regina Spektor. I know it's not clear but it's stated there at 1:22 under Wedding Singer.

really like this song. it is romantic and yet very fun, too, which is how it should be, if I remember correctly. right? film good, too although am not a steve carrell fan, am getting there, slowly. dane cook, juliette binoche, emily blunt, diane wiest....I like.

On the dvd extras it shows that the reason the daughters start laughing at 1:04 is beacuse Juiette Binochet lost her shoe in the grass.

That may be for the actual song, but in the movie, the woman on stage with the band, and singing during the credits, is Regina Spektor. Go back and look at the songs in the credits and I will bet you any money it says her name. Check it and let me know.

Err neither the female voice behind the song nor the wedding singer in this clip is Regina Spektor. They're Lillian Samdal & Marci Occhino respectively. However, Regina does sing on another track with Sondre Lerche called "Hell No" :)

Ah, I was just reading the video info where you wrote that the female wedding singer wasn't Lillian Samdal? She looks an awful lot like Regina Spektor, and I guess I just jumped to conclusions after seeing "Hell No." My mistake. :)

actually regina spektor sang with sondre in hell no. this is another girl, lillian samdal. i was saying the actress's name was marci occhino.

ok, i understand now, but before i saw the soundtrack, i had thought that actually regina sang this song and in the movie they tried to find somebody who looks like regina:))

anyone ever heard of lillian samdal doing anything on her own? if failing that anything with another singer? I love her voice but she's off the map as far as I can tell. Appreciate the help if there is any.
