I was a hardcore Skins fan from 1982 until 2010. They were my childhood team. I bled burgundy and gold. I remember crying as an eight year old when the Raiders beat Washington in Super Bowl XVIII. I cried tears of joy when they won two more championships in 87 and 91. I was with them in the lean years of the 90s. But it wasn't the team performance that made me switch allegiance to the Saints. It was Daniel Snyder. He singlehandedly destroyed this once great franchise with his ego, greed, and despicable behavior. I could have handled the team being bad. But Snyder is pure evil. I have the great memories of the team under Jack Kent Cooke and Joe Gibbs and Bobby Beathard and Charley Casserly. Snyder should have had the team taken from him. Not walk away with billions. He's a sack of human waste.

Another idiot move was signing Adam Archuleta to the biggest contract at the time for a safety. Meanwhile they let Ryan Clark walk and how did that work out? Clark played for 8 seasons with the Steelers while Archuleta was gone after 2 seasons.

The 2000 redskins pretty much signed the 1993 pro bowl roster. They even started the season 6-2 at one point but went 2-6 after that.

Dan Snyder was such an embarrassment that he was the reason for me renouncing my Washington fandom (this was years before the name change, in fact the offensiveness of the mascot wasn't even an issue yet) and the only way I'll go back is if the new owners of the franchise that is now the Commanders prove that they're truly better and more competent, which is a very low bar. Seroiusly you could make a new channel called JG10Snyder solely dedicated to chronicling Dan Snyder's clownery and you'd have years of content.

One interesting note about Justin Jefferson and the Eagles, in two games Jefferson has made two mental errors that turned a Touchdown opportunity into a turnover. It’s like he is forgiving the Eagles for passing on him.

I'm 47 years old, and a lifelong Redskins fan. The teams inconsistency pretty much started in 1994 with the drafting of Heath Shuler. Granted, they were in a dire situation by having to replace a Super Bowl winning QB in Mark Rypien. But 1994 started a period of rotating QBs unlike any other franchise in history. We did have a few bright spots with Brad Johnson and Mark Brunell, but nothing spectacular. That is, until 2012 and the arrival of RG3 and Kirk Cousins. Two awesome starting quarterbacks. Then RG3 gets hurt, and Cousins gets traded. Here comes the mary-go-round again! Four starting QBs in 2018, three in 2019, and three again in 2020, 2021, and 2022. We draft Sam Howell in 2023, and he starts all `17 games, only to trade him to the Seahawks! So, here we go again with Jayden Daniels. With Sam Hartman going down to injury, I hope that his isn't another long season.

I would have called to try to trade a 7th round pick for him. Far more subtle.

As history proved, Snyder was a joke of an owner, and was in no position to clown anybody about busted draft picks or bad personnel moves, however... you gotta give the devil his due with respect to Snyder clowning Jerry Jones over drafting Dwayne Goodrich. I remember that draft pick well. That was the absolute height of the post-Jimmy Johnson, Jerry in total control making horrific boneheaded draft picks and personnel moves. A few outliers aside, notably Larry Allen, Flozell Adams, there was not a worse drafting team in the entire NFL between 1994 and 2001, than the Dallas Cowboys. I remember the general consensus when the Cowboys nabbed Goodrich was not one of praise. The entire Cowboys draft that year was broadly and deservedly panned. Grading NFL drafts hours after its conclusion is fools gold, but I remember a blind man could see as it was unfolding that the Cowboy's 2001 draft class was a bust. I say this as a recovering Cowboys fan, I will never criticize anybody that clowns Jerry over his disastrous GMing of the Cowboys. The devil himself could troll Jerry and I would still give the Devil a pass.
