I love this song & Dan's outro to it. I had to pull up the original to realize how well Dan had stayed true to the original & to Roy's voice. I'd never heard of Roy Khan before hearing Dan sing this, so I looked up some background on him. Roy was the lead singer of a European group called Kamelot & he left the group & the limelight for years because it was adversely affecting him physically, mentally, etc and making it impossible to be a good husband and father. He was completely burnt out, prioritizing his faith & family as he retreated home to become an active member of his church for several years in worship & teaching. He later started doing music again with his first band named "Conception". There's a song Roy does called "Silent Crying" that covers a really hard subject (child SA) that cut my heart to the core. I cried through it & that one is not one I can listen to very often, regardless of how beautifully Roy sings it. Dan actually did another song of Roy's from when he was with Kamelot called "Abandoned" and it's another really good cover much like this one. I'd recommend hearing it. This is a very beautiful song, beautifully sung by Dan, with superb accompaniment from Gabriel and Jacob. I'm not religious but I play this often (along with the other two with Jacob Ka playing the piano - Courage and Son of Pain). I appreciate your comments on the music and Dan.
