This video was an experiment! An attempt to put something out quicker, with less editing and more talking, if you like this format please let me know! This is a very easy thing for me to make, I could easily do one of these per week if there's a demand for this sort of long form content with minimal editing!

Long form all day, I have been painting a little while and it really helps to watch, like really watch good painters as it helps me pick up stuff. For example thinning the metallic paint right at the start, you only draw out that kind of detail from longer vids.

I prefer short format. A long form is nice every now and then, but my personal preference is short videos. I usually skip over any video if it's more than about 20 minutes. Time constraints limit me from enjoying hobbies as much now days.

I like watching your painting videos, you have a good sense of humour and you explain everything you do clearly. My only personal request is that (if possible) sometimes you paint cheaper miniatures? I've only been painting seriously the last year and I mostly paint the wizkids, reaper and pathfinder deepcuts, which I can get at my local shop for $2-5 per package. I liked this, but I went to see how much one costs and was shocked that a single mini was $35! I like to follow along or replay the video as a tutorial as I paint, and this kind of thing is out of my personal price range. Keep up the great work!

New subscriber (and just getting back into the hobby after ~15 years) but am registering my interest in more videos of this style below the line! I love the way that this is more of a "this is how I painted this mini" as opposed to a "how to paint this mini" Not saying that one is a better format than the other and I'm sure that videos with "how to" in the title get more views, but it's a refreshing change of pace. There's definitely room for both! Also would like to say that your Twitter presence is super inspiring, and I've found it weirdly moving that despite the dodgy shit that does go on and the seemingly endless number of "all lives matter" morons, misogynists, TERFs, incels and everything else in between, there are also so many interesting and genuine folks creating great content and really using their platform for positive change in this hobby. Killin. It.

Sadly, one of the consequences of watching someone who is confident that they will not end up making a mess, is that it reduces my confidence that I will not end up making a mess.
