Hey you guys! WOW! Another beautiful song by Pink Floyd! Lyrically it is amazing! Their musicianship is unquestionable! Mia and I are in love with David's guitar style! This song got me emotional, but I forced myself not to cry! LOL! Time... why does time go so fast? As Mia listened to the song she got school memories while I felt goosebumps. Unfortunately, we have to pause for copyright reasons. But, this is a song worth not pausing and listening with your eyes closed! We are so happy that we listen to you all! Thank you so much for this request! As always stay safe and we'll see you in our next video! We love you guys!

Came here to say the older you get, the more this song means. It's meant something different every decade of my life whenni was a teenager, it was a cool intro and an amazing guitar solo. Now it means so much more.

There is a real deep message in this song girls. Life is short. Don't put off your dreams and life's experiences for later. Chase those dreams now, for life is short and you will be old before you know it. Time never takes a break, and continually marches forward.

Thrilled to see that you get it, but that train really hits you when you’re 40+ and you realize that time moves exponentially. That makes the fact that the boys were still in their 20’s when they wrote this masterpiece just amazing.

Yay! Thank you SO much for doing more Pink Floyd. I love this song, it gets more meaningful every time I listen to it. You both seem to get it and let the song take you someplace else. The whole album is a legit trip. If you are ever up to it, light a candle, close your eyes and you will go somewhere in your mind you’ve never been. There is nothing like hearing this whole album for the first time. If you girls have an hour to kill do the whole album, it’s really just one song and Time is merely a chapter in the middle. Thank you again for making this reaction video, I loved it!

The line "The time is gone, the song is over. Thought I'd something more to say." really was the end of the song. The part that comes after it was the end of another song. Time is the 4th track on Dark Side of the Moon. The second track is Breathe, and the fade-out of Time is called "Breathe, Reprise". The album is very deep. Pink Floyd had lost a band member to mental illness, and that influenced a lot of their songs. The entire Dark Side album revolved around it. If you really want chills, try playing The Great Gig in the Sky. It's the 5th track from Dark Side of the Moon, and doesn't have any lyrics. But it does have vocals, and talks to you without needing words. Trivia: Great Gig featured a singer named Clare Torry. She was called to the studio, given the sheet music, and got minimum direction on how to sound. The entire recording session was ad-libbed by her without her knowing what it was really about. Yet it fits with the rest of the album perfectly.

This is one of 3 songs I have stored away on a thumb drive for my daughter to listen to after my passing someday. The 3 songs represent what I like and what I want for her in the future w once I'm gone. They also tell a little of how I've felt about my life...such as the lines from "Time" ...."And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.".....that even though I don't have many, I have some regrets of letting time slip by me and not accomplishing everything that I could have.....extraordinary that you young girls realize how deep this song is......

I was 21 when I first heard this song. almost 47 years later I am still listening to it. It means more to me every year. I wish I could have really understood the meaning and paid more attention to the warning when I was young. I know even if I had it to do over I would fritter away my time when I was young and going to live forever. You need to listen to this and really take in the lyrics every 10 years at least. It would even be better if you listened to it on a regular basis.

I think they might be constrained by copyright issues from playing continuously without pause. If that's the case then I think they're doing it quite well - I've certainly seen much worse. But yeah, it would be nice wouldn't it? I feel so absolutely blessed by this technology that I've been fending off for years and years. I feel like I'm a kid in a record store 🤪 When I was a kid in a record store I had no money and I had no sense, lol My brother though had the BEST taste in music 👍 and because he didn't smoke he ALWAYS had the money but graciously let me listen to my heart's content 🤗🥰😪🙏

This album stayed in the Billboard Top 100 albums for 745 weeks. That's 14 YEARS. That's 3 years longer than Mia has been alive. The start, with the guitar playing a single note, and the drums doing a refrain that becomes increasingly complex, is a compositional style called, 'call and response'. David is using his famous 'Black Strat' in this recording. It sold, for charity, at an auction last year, for $3. 975 million dollars, making it the most expensive musical instrument in history. Asked later what he thought of that he shrugged and replied with casual ease 'It's just a guitar.'

This is supposed to be followed by The Great Gig In The Sky. At the end of Time, death happens(the tolling of the iron bell), then it feeds into the Great Gig In The Sky, where you hear a woman vocalize the stages of death, like Denial, Defeat, Acceptance, and Peace. These two songs together are incredibly powerful, and the Great Gig would've made you cry.

Most of the albums from this time era were Progressive type and were ment to be listen to in its entirety. Please continue your journey through The Dark Side Of The Moon; the next song is "The Great Gig In The Sky", which may bring a tear or two with its beauty. And then comes "Money", which has one of David Gilmour's greatest guitar solos. The album is best as a whole, but each of the individual parts is brilliant by itself. So let's get to it . . . A good metaphor for life. My mother is in her 80s now and she says she has to note down appointments carefully in her calendar otherwise a day goes by and she doesn't notice. She has missed appointments because the week goes by so quickly, she might think it's Tuesday when it's actually Wednesday already. How many of us look back on life and wonder what we could have done differently or better, to avoid misunderstandings or to help people or fix things; where did the time go. But we don't see that as we live day to day, only after the fact when it's too late. Great song.

Note the lyrics, ladies. No better advice as to the fleeting nature of time will be given to you. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown Waiting for someone or something to show you the way Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

This is truly one of the best of all time. No pun intended. The whole album is equally amazing, and it fits together in a way that makes each song better when you listen to the whole thing at once. There is a lot more where this one came from...the past. I envy you for what awaits you when you hear more music for the first time. There is a huge library of amazing music from the 1960's, 1970s and 1980s. I am sure this period in history will forever be known as some sort of magical golden age of music. The amount of music across so many genres that was released in those decades is unmatched in history, and may be something that never happens again. But all of it is preserved forever, so very fortunately, by the technology that was used to make it and store it and bring it forward to the present. The internet has made things possible no one could have imagined even a decade or two ago. Enjoy your journey of exploration of these treasures from our shared past.

Buckle up your seat belts ladies this song is really good AND the album is great..... No bad songs on it - NONE!! I think this is the best rock & roll album ever. AS usual you two ladies have made me laugh out loud. You two are great. I so enjoy your sense of wonder and willingness to explore music from the past. David did not do the flash thing when he played his guitar. Just low-key, purposeful picking... I am impressed with you two. You both really listened. Bravo ladies.... Now go and locate, listen, and fall in love with the song -"the Great Gig in the Sky'.. The female soloist will blow your mind..., starting a tad past 1:16. Just listen.... PLUS David plays a lap steel guitar... Great job ladies.... On a side note - I was 18 when this masterpiece was released.. Yes girls, I'm old...

Dark side was the first vinyl I bought when it came out in the 70s, my father got me interested in good music from the day I was born. So much music so many gigs n festivals as I grew up! I have passed on that passion to my children and Darkside is still played regularly in our house and is as fresh today as it was when I first listened. I was lucky music as a child was played loud without earphones and the notes could go thru you! More young people need to listen to the masterful magic Floyd created!

I first heard the album when I was 14, it was still recent at the time. Now i'm 61 and really appreciate the lyrics. I loved it when I was 14, I love it now but appreciate the lyrics a bit more.

The lyrics alone are on a whole other level with Pink Floyd. First time I ever heard them was when my 6th grade English teacher made us listen to and break down this song and I've loved the band ever since. Thanks for the great reactions!

Being French speaking, (from Quebec), my second language course was English. As end of term assignment, we had to discuss in front of the class, an article from an English newspaper. My friend and I chose the lyrics for the song TIME. Needless to say, the lyrics of this song sparked some heated discussion in the classroom. Especially the lyrics: (No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun).

Such a delight watching you two discover this song. It’ll mean even more as you get older, but you both obviously get it already, and appreciate just how good the music is.

Very deep meaningful lyrics. It's a song that should travel with you through as you grow older. Listen to it (and indeed the album) throughout your life, the meaning becoming more relevant as you go through different stages of life.
