You missed so many features that would've put the DX in S tier. - you can hang your entire closet wardrobe from it when not in use. - you can use the shelve to place your tech deck ramps and play with friends. The list goes on and on.

Fun fact about the Namco crap-o-cabs, the arcade-style button doesn't even act as a sensor - it's just for lights. The actual "sensor" is a contact plate system like you'd find in DDRGame pad Also, FX cab owner here lol, they may look wacky but they really grow on you tbh, especially with a new screen because the factory one really is bad

Ironically, that location is one of the smallest for the current Round1 locations in the US, and is one of the most supported since their opening on March 23, 2019. We did not get any DDR until sometime in July 2019. However, that location was a test site for PIUXX

Hi, I'm well-versed in Pump cabs. SD cabs were really rare since, yes, they were mostly copied from the DDR cab design, and most of them were destroyed after the lawsuit from Konami. Finding one of these things in working order is pretty tough. SX cabs, again, pretty rare and hard to find because not many of them were made. The single center subwoofer design is indeed dumb and why two coin doors? Makes no sense. GX cabs were the gold standard back in the day. They had pretty nice pads, nice CRTs, and IIRC the only difference between the GX and GXv2 is the monitor. DX cabs are amazing, fuck you. Though likely because they were all I played Pump on back in the day. Yes, they came out in 2000 and they had these massive 50 inch rear-projection screens which were notorious for failing. They honestly weren't bad at all. The one at the D&B near me had its original monitor until 2010 when it got upgraded to Fiesta and they replaced the monitor with a generic widescreen TV. The REAL issue with DX cabs are the pads: They suck. For some reason, the arrows are more recessed, and the screws/brackets are way bigger. It feels like going from a DDR white cab to an original 573/jcab, with the huge difference in the panels. It's perfectly playable, but noticeably worse than the GX pads. FX cabs had the same pads as GX, and the wide screen was pretty nice. Built-in USB ports on the sides were useful for when NX2 came out, and honestly, this is one of the best cabs to own if you don't have much space in your house, because it's the smallest dance game cab. (outside of maybe SMX?) Funnily enough, it is NOT "high definition", the resolution for the monitor is still 800x600 or something like that, and it just runs in a weird widescreen mode. I remember being pretty surprised to find that it does not actually run at 16:9 or 16:10 resolution. TX and CX cabs are when Pump truly began using "HD" resolutions. The pads also got a significant upgrade, having a much better design with no brackets or huge screws, and much less recessed panels as well. I remember playing on these for the first time at a Round1 in 2017, and it felt fucking amazing compared to the DX pads I had been playing on for the past ~11 years before that. The CX cab is indeed the same thing as TX but just with a smaller cab and smaller screen. And finally, yeah, LX is pretty much the absolute best dance game cab to date. The design is fantastic, the lighting is really nice, and most of all, the pads are upgraded even further from the TX/CX ones. Not only are they more flush, but the IO is improved as well, with a better polling rate than the older pads, leading to much better step accuracy. Only downside is that the speakers are sometimes faulty and decide to blow out for no reason.

I feel like the white cabs play better than the gold cabs because the angled monitor on the white cab just makes the game feel so much better and the completely straight gold cab monitor makes it harder to read

I own an HD X cab. They are the only cabinet that has native HD support for DDR games and will allow you to easily side-load ITG/SM5. This is due to them being the only DDR cabinet with both an HD screen and a P3IO input board. The White cabs and up use the P4IO which does not have a driver for Stepmania(yet). Also the spires don't go with the music in DDR, they represent your life bar. When your life fills up they turn to a rainbow flashing pattern. When your life dips, the lights will lower to the point matching your current life bar status. When you dip into the red, the spires turn red. In SM5, they do flash to the music. They belong in S-tier. Also the machine at Star Worlds in Dekalb is still there. There's another in Michigan and 3-4 more in private ownership across the US. Additionally: The image you used for the Raw Thrills cabinet is actually a JP X cabinet with the spires removed.

My country has 6 PIU cabs in total. You can find a FX running Fiesta in Be'er Sheva, A CX running Prime 1 in Haifa, A LXv1 running Prime 2 in Eilat, A LXv2 upgraded to XX in Netanya, and 2 LXv4 cabinets running XX in Tel Aviv and Dimona (the Dimona one is offline)

I genuinely think that the tx not only sounds better but the pads are also better (without mods) and i like the design better, also, 55" is way too much 50" doesnt sound like that much less but it's definitely noticeable and in my opinion it's perfect, in love with the tx

I love the screen on the gold ddr cabs, but the major problem I have playing on them in the US is that the premium play features aren't unlocked! This means that many news songs released are completely unplayable on anything but the silver cabs, which is very unfortunate. Conversely, there are some songs that you can only play with a silver or gold rank on the golden cabinets. In Japan, though, the gold cabinets seem (from what I've seen Japanese players upload to YT) to have full functionality. Perhaps this is Konami's way of trying to get us visit Japan? lol

I strongly disagree with LX being above CX/TX, It doesn't even have overhead speakers so all the audio is washed together. Gold cabs absolutely dont need to be in the top tier either unless its about dickwag exclusivity.

I like the DDR A Bars because im short so i dont have to lift my arms straight behind my back, i also really like the feel of the bar as well as the notes

You based your ranking on looks and not how they play. You need to try the white cabs, they are that good which are in reality an S. Otherwise the rankings for the DDR and PIU cabs are spot on.

tbh the ddr x2 raw thrill cab is kinda good in my opinion if you go to a magic company branch in south africa like suncoast casino and wild coast casino there cabs are good but south africa doesnt have e-amusement nor edit data ports the only x2 that has the usb port is in silverstar casino but every other x2 cab here like sun city carnival city are not recommended as carnival citys cab has a problem which makes your speed go faster or slower on both sides and sun city has one side that has it which is player one then silver stars pads are good like ok player 2 side has the error and player one is recommended for players training on there own also suncoast casino in durban is the best place to train on x2 cuz the pad quality is remarkable like american dance gamers were supprised cuz the pads are good there so how i found suncoast cab to be the best ddr cab out it depends on how you maintain the pads like at suncoast they do the pads every 1-2 weeks and there sensitivity is very good and its all raised raw thrill cabs are not terible if they are maintained its terible if its not maintained

The japanese gen2 cab light spires dont go to the beat, but rather act as healthbars for each player, also japanese gen2 cabs doesnt use a dedicated subwoofer on the bottom since it actually uses a fullrange speaker, rendering the marquee speakers useless since the bottom ones already give out the whole range of sound unlike the white ddr a cab which used real subwoofers this time. And for the gold ddr cab, it never had a subwoofer at all, its just uneven tinny sound.

As far as the crap o cab, I've played on 3 and they sucked. Two of them ran DDR Extreme PS2 and the other had in the groove 2. The 3rd crap o cab, the player 1 side will give you misses if not press down hard but player 2 side was ok.

DDR X2 should be in F tier, super bright flashing lights directly in your eyes, laggy interface, low fps screen. People who like that cab are masochists. ranking it below or same as a DDR A cab is wild. Troll list. The DDR gold cab is just a DDR A but the finish will eventually turn to shit.

For Pump: - FX should be in the crap tier just for the monitor alone. The amount of input lag it has makes the game unplayable imo. - TX > GX = LX > CX. Everything else is bad. For DDR: White cabs >>>>>>> Gold cabs. Gold cabs feel like fucking ass. Not to mention you can't use premium mode in the US so enjoy having no speed mods or any relevant features.
