While I think that is a fair point. I see the song more as our worlds hype song and Nilah tracking down Mordekaiser was the key theme of the expansion so they got the visualization. But this made me more excited to tune into the start of worlds tomorrow!!

Whenever i think about Morderkaiser, i think about the final boss with orchestra music that give you goosebumps.The rap song is fine but it just feel out of place.

It's genuinely surprising how everybody argues that this should be a metal song just because Mordekaiser is spotlighted in the video, while the song not only is just the world's song, not Morde's, but also fits Nilah, who is the character that has been for the whole season showing in other's splasharts and fighting the greatest rivals in the lore. She is the one that dances into the dark.

The rap ain't even New metal or heavy that more skews to some sorta argument to be made. It's a good song but it's just bluntly absurd pretending ah yes this fits morde lol. And honestly these lyrics could easily be translated into a metal song. Riot already has tons of metal and pop, and rap songs such like this so that argument could be made either way tbh, it's not as if they won't of had an opportunity to make a future song like this but for some other characters were it fits more perfectly.

i think this is pretty good personally. I can see the comments talking about how Morde is meant for boss music or metal and i can agree if this video was just a love letter to Mordekaiser. but I think people arent realizing this is more of an anthem for LOR kinda like a worlds song and Morde just happens to be the boss of this set. I enjoyed it. Thank you RIOT. Maybe next time the Animation screen could show more than just Morde to help reinforce that.

Love the song. To all the people saying it needs to be metal, ehhh. First, this is a great theme song for a World Championship. Second, I don't think you should limit the creative process to force it into a certain genre just because of the character being featured. Same logic would say k-pop doesn't fit any theme in Runeterra, and that would mean we would never get KDA or True-Damage.

Nilah fought Volibear until he disappeared again. Volibear physically no longer exists, what we saw was a representation of him because his followers prayed (causing war) to him and because he had a giant storm to feed him. The Joy Demon only gave the information of when Volibear would appear to Nilah and she went to fight him at the perfect time.
