I understand having less interactions due to the budget cuts. But at least have those few be relevant to his lore like LeBlanc or Veigar... It's just like Kayn having no interactions with Zed.

From an artistic point of view you are right. From a business perspective, terribly wrong. To have new voice lines, you need the VA of every language to come record their lines. This is the reason champions only have interactions with champions from the same expansion: it cost them to much to ask the VA to come if they are only going to record a couple of lines

I feel like its not the same mordekaiser we knew... the thing I liked most about mordekaiser is how calm he speaks. its like he does not recognise anyone as Enemy, he just looks at them as a building material, everyone will serve, there is no reason for me to be emotional if enemy is weakling. but here he is like angry lord who demands more instead of taking it.

I agree 10000000%. Calm and cold like spoken winter is what makes Morde so convincing. There's a unnerving certainty in such a disposition, as if he's planned and calculated everything. In this he sounds desperate for attention like some baby.

Leblanc may be runeterra's greatest deceiver but during mordekaiser's first "death" at the hands of leblanc's deceit; mordekaiser actually knew all about it and let it happen so he may conquer the death realm as well. Mordekaiser and Swain may be the only people she can't fully deceive.

I think Mordekaiser sounds too angry. I feel like he should be more stoic and commanding in his tone, like his in League. Something suggesting that he knows for a matter of fact that things will go his way and that he has absolute authority. This voice makes it feel as if he is a bit too emotional (in my opinion), like it’s emphasising that he wants and feels things rather than that he knows things for certain.

What i find fascinating about Demacia and Noxus is that when it comes to Demacia family and loyalty are valued abpve all else whereas in Noxus, community and individualism is cherished.

@@shadowrealm3245 not really. Noxus is pretty vehement on choosing your own path, if you are strong enough to choose. If you are a weakling Noxus will still find use for you, dont get me wrong, but if you are strong enough nearly noone in noxus is against you carving your own path. (Still a society of backstabbing opportunists, but I guess that comes with the package)

I've always kind of viewed Demacia as the place pursuing idealistic ideas that won't work long term, while Noxus just kind of encourages people to act on true human instinct and nature. Kind of like animals, in a non-derogatory way.

My dissapointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. His damn deep menacing voice is gone with his menacing big bad barbed armour. The only good thing about him rn is the blue and not even because it is aesthetically more pleasing but lorevise. But then again Lore? For people wondering why he has no interactions with certain champs, LoR champs only tend to have interactions with champions who came out in the same set as each other. This is why lissandra has no interactions with volibear but has one with zilean instead. This is how it always has been

Super excited for the new printer decks. I'm not gonna lie, I like this artwork as much as the artwork in League, but I do understand the criticism. It's a bit of a far cry to his other version, but as someone else pointed out when you think of it as this being him awaiting his exit of the death realm and his League counterpart being him outside of the death realm it does make sense.

Like before he got sent back(even tho it’s what he wanted or something like that in the lore and I dunno if it was the black rose he led on and made to think banishing him was her idea and something that they actually achieved on their own when he actually just let them banish him in the lore or if that was an earlier time like when he was human before he actually died and came back for the first time) so now that he’s back he’s pissed off and building an army to invade and Nilah is actively seeking his army to prevent this/that from happening or after he got sent back and he’s finally out again and all chill about it?

I think he's just greeting death again, after all his death is what started his second conquest. There's no mention of Kindred in his stories, but with him being still "alive" I doubt he actually met them, not every culture has the kindred I think

People are being very stupid about him only having interactions with the last sets champs. There's a big budgetary difference between getting a voice actor in the studio for a role they haven't done in years and adding three lines to the script of a va you already have lol

Wrong. Not only did they bring the voice actor for Morde back in a lot earlier than you think, because of Morde's Mythic skin, but wouldn't yelling his lines be harder for him to do versus him calmly speaking them like he does in League? I'm not voice actor but I do sing and I understand that yelling is a lot harder on your vocal cords than speaking.

I'm a fan of the character and one thing that took my attention is, mordekaiser sounds very angry and kind of like a mortal, his voice lines are full of anger and hate which i can relate but it sounds like an armored titan shouting at everyone. Just compare his voice lines to the League quotes, his interactions with karthus, swain, maokai. On league, the way he speaks is slow, calm but he kind of dominates everyone. What is the point of placing emotions on a character that dominates death realm ?

Bro in League, he was just waiting to return. In LoR, he IS returning, and Nilah is trying to come and stop him from doing that. He also become like literal Death embodiment all because of his anger and refusal to fade, just like Tryndamere. Of course he will be mad.

I was really excited for Mordekaiser but I have 2 major concerns. One if of course the lack of Voice lines with Veigar and LeBlanc, the other point is that I think he sounds way too energetic/aggressive here. Compared to normal League of Legends where he sounds calm but confident here he sounds like just another villain about to have their entire plan leaked and then wonders why he lost.

Thresh is not even nearly on his power, as he is somehwere around Viego's old peak power level and that was still weaker than Mordekaiser's power as confirmed by Viego's writer

@Venator269 ah all right, still Thresh seems to be invested in taking his positon as he's heading to Noxus. He's done it to Viego, he'll probably aim to do the same to Mordekaiser. If he succeeds is another story.

The more I hear this voice acting for Morde the more I kind of hate it... In League he speaks with a certain calm that is only befitting him because he *knows* how much of a powerhouse he is.every sentence kinda lingers in his throat and it's waaay more badass than this shouting he has going on here... Also no interactions with Veigar, Swain or Leblanc? I understand that they may not have their voice actors at the ready, but he should at least have something to say to them, even if they won't say anything back.
