Yes Sowon is listed as 173cm but most think she is around 177-178cm since she is taller than idols listed under that and almost the same height as male idols listed at 180-182. It's impressive how much you can see in the dancing about the story, and you are correct to assume they meant these things. Gfriend's choreography has always reflected the lyrics a lot instead of just fitting the beat/going hard. Since the story was a bit more complex this time the dancing reflected it even more. If you are interested you should check out their dance to Labyrinth as well, it's a B side but the dance really follows the lyrics in that one. Great reaction.

Oh, so many things to comment here haha. I really like your interpretations of the dance, IT’S ON POINT! GFriend MVs have always revolved around each other and their relationship since the beginning. The back storyline of this comeback specifically is about how the were always together but they got separated because of jealousy so your interpretation is very accurate. There’s an stigma about GFriend being only “school girls” because when they debuted 5/6 were underage (the youngest were 15) and their “School Trilogy” was iconic and SUPER successful, even the girls acknowledge that they can’t still beat them themselves in that time so people mostly associate them with that but once their maknaes became “adults” in 2017 they dropped the uniforms and they started experimenting with a lot more concepts. Ofc, they have their own style of doing things haha. Even now if you check their promoted b-side you’ll find that Labyrinth is EXTREMELY different of Crossroads. Just like Fever was so different from Flower, Time For The Moon Night from Love Bug and so on...

There was some people who found it weird or dismissed it because it looked “easy”. Gfriend's dance ever since Rough era has been pretty symbolic and they actually conveys the lyrics really really well. It's one of our trademarks! My first gfriend comeback was love whisper. It was a weird era bc they went back to innocent after doing fingertip so everyone was kinda like curious abt the future. I love this comeback and gfriend bc like you said they have like a homey friendly sort of energy to me. They seem more approachable and human to me idk why. To me this comeback is exactly what we needed, especially with the added b side to show off they can be versatile and do girl crush without a huge beat drop empty chorus. My fav era is still sunrise though because of Eunhas high note there and I really loved the styling of that era as well as the song.

You can interpret their dances, but they tend to be pretty literal to the lyrics, so if you want to understand most of their movements you should check out also their lyrics while watching the dance. Also they do the shadowing thing (hide one member) to create mostly illusions of appearance, they usually use that to places members and then come from "no where" while in formation you can actually see all 6 of them. The only choreo they do this to hide is in Fever

In terms of average height, Gfriend I believe is one of (if not the) the talked active female Kpop groups. Sowon is one of the tallest female idols at 173cm. There are a few that are also around that height or a bit taller. I think what make Sowon seem taller is that she has very long legs.

Your interpretation of the song is literally the whole story of their concept akdbskdvdkcb like it's the plot of all their MVs Also about their hidden member formations, those formations play a big part in their signature. They're known for synchronization and most of the time, this is more evident when you see one member hidden behind the other. You'll just notice how exact they are in what they do. PS. Although it's hard to believe, Crossroads is one of the weakest choreography-wise because it's more lyrical and barely difficult (they have other songs that are more difficult but are also lyrical). Their weakest for me are Fever, Sunny Summer and Crossroads. However, these songs are still better for me than some other girl group choreographies for the reason that they have more interpretative content than others.
