7 ай бұрынTodays commander deck comes to us recommended by commenter @josepedro9926 who asked us for a Rowan, Scion of War deck and wooo does the deck deliver. Being able to power out a win as early as turn 4 depending on our set up. Who would have guessed losing life to discount your spells would be powerful? The only weakness of the deck is that it needs Rowan to function at maximum efficiency. With our combination of cardboard we can turn some real power out with card draw, direct damage, and life gain the deck makes your life total a real balancing act. If you want a glass cannon deck with high power high reward this is the deck for you!

Yeah I was finding to many Rowan decks with only a few creatures, plus I figured with her being such a lynchpin for the deck and a lightning rod for removal, better to use her ability to drop some big creatures in case she gets removed. Thank you so much for commenting 😁

Damnable Pact is extra good since if X is high enough you can point it at an opponent to kill them. Doesn't matter if you give them 15 cards if they just die.

Note that you cannot both have Rowan discount the 4 mana from Moltensteel Dragon _and_ have Moltensteel Dragon further discount your spells that turn; the amount of the discount is only determined at the moment Rowan's ability resolves, and won't be recalculated afterwards if you take more damage.

If you’re looking for a card that would let you do this for only a slight price increase, there’s always the Patriar’s Seal from the new Baldur’s Gate set! Lets you spend a colorless to untap a legendary creature

@@TypicalGeminiMTGI assume you know this based on your phrasing but just in case anyone else isn't aware, if you untap her you can stack her discount. So if you lose 6 life, tap her, then untap and tap her again, you get a 12 discount since her effect is applied to you, the player.

“Extort adds no colored mana symbols to a card outside of its reminder text, and therefore is legal for play in Commander decks of any color or colors” so it’s okay to play 😁
