THIS Is exactly why Jhope is BTS's DANCE LEADER!! Members agreed as well that he is the most experienced one when it comes dancing. And he was already a pro-dancer before he started training to become BTS member.

j-hope is the best dancer. Like the question of favorite dancer comes down to personal preference. And because Jimin and Jungkook are often centers, you see more of them, so new ARMYs and GP are often more aware of their (substantial!) skills. But BTS (all of them) routinely call j-hope the best dance. As does their dance instructor/choreographer Son Sungdeok who has been with them since the beginning. He's also the team's Dance Leader/Dance Captain. I think people underestimate the technique and skill hip hop and street styles require (probably bc they originated from disenfranchised populations and evolved outside of formal studios). Plus ppl often lump the plethora of street styles together as if it's just one singular form. j-hope has mastered several styles of street dance (popping, locking, wave, tutting, house, krump, etc), plus we've seen him flawlessly execute jazz, lyrical hip hop, and even some contemporary routines and that makes him really well-rounded and versatile. Additionally, recently a computer algorithm measured the consistency of popular kpop dancers and j-hope came in second with a score in the high 90s. He only lost points because of his tendency to throw in freestyles moves that change from performance to performance. Professional dancers often comment on his lines, his details, and his control. He's especially great at isolating. The team looks to him to check their moves and make them a strong dance unit. I'm not an expert in dance at all. But the boys (who see them all dance the most and know their skills inside and out) say j-hope is the best. Again, people have stylistic preferences. I have personally always really loved contemporary so I enjoy Jimin's solo dances a lot. People can get touchy about the question and defensive. They're all elite. And you'll never see an opinion piece on "best dancers in kpop" that leaves Jimin out. But j-hope gets slept on in the industry because he's not a center so I think it's important to credit him as BTS does. Especially for new ARMYs who may not get a chance to truly see his dance until they dig further into their content.

@e0n555 3 жыл бұрын
Your comment is interesting because in the early BTS years, many will say folks "slept" on Jimin since the choreos were more hiphop-centric. Nowadays the attention has switched, but both Main Dancers deserve the spotlight and love for their incredible skills and charisma. I loved it when J-Hope and Jimin were doing the dance your feelings challenge on Fallon, RM hype-shouted "Our two best dancers!" 💜
@jhopeur7219
@jhopeur7219 3 жыл бұрын
@@e0n555 Jimin got center and solo stages all the time in their early years, though. He had a lot of killing parts of dance choreos. He’s been a featured dancer from the start. It was more even in the beginning between the dance-line. Hoseok and Jimin both routinely flanked Jungkook and they each got the occasional stand out parts. Hoseok had real line time so he danced center occasionally. Now it’s less even. So maybe it looks like a switch? But Hoseok hasn’t danced center in the formation in the last 3 singles with choreo. Which is what it is. But it leaves new ARMY with the impression that doesn’t amount to his actual role and talent. People see often what Jimin and Koo can do-so I think it’s important to impress upon new ARMYs that Hoseok deserves a lot of credit for his skill too.

This is information about J-Hope٠Before entering Big Hit👇👇 Jung Hoseok (j-hope ) Pre - debut Career Timeline : * All information is accurate at time of publishing ** All sources linked * Extra resources listed **** Ages in international ( ) and Korean ( k ) 1. In 3rd Grade ( 2003 , age 9 ( 1 ) , 10 ( k ) ) J - Hope was selected as the student representative for an instructional video for his school for the morning exercise routine kookmin chaejo because he was so good at it . 2. In 4 " Grade ( 2004 , age 10 ( 1 ) , 11 ( k ) ) J - Hope decided he wanted to learn dance in a more formal manner . Despite his father being against it his mother helped him to find a dance bakwon . He joined a famous dance academy in Gwangju , Joy Dance Academy ( and the attached Plugin Music Academy ) and started tacking classes learning different styles beyond just street dance.2 3. In 5 " Grade ( 2005 , age 11 ( ) .12 ( k ) ) J - Hope took part in a student talent show at his school . He was asked to dance for it since his teachers and friends had heard he danced well and given that he had been in the kookmin chaejo video . It was this experience that J - Hope states was responsible for him deciding that he wanted to pursue career in performing and dance . He attended all his daily classes the Academy despite the fact it was an hours bus ride from his then elementary school . " 4. In 8 Grade ( 2008 , age 14 ( i ) , 15 ( k ) ) TJ - Hope's family financial circumstances worsened and they were no longer able to afford his dance classes at the Academy . He was only able to dance at the bakwon , not take lessons . However the leader of the dance crew Neuron taught at the Academy and having heard of J - Hope's family situation and knowing how good a dancer J - Hope was he invited him to join Neuron . He was the youngest member of the crew . From then onwards J - Hope started to build a reputation amongst all of Gwangju's dance community , he was known as Smile Hoya . " 5. In the following 2 years J - Hope went on to win competitions in dance battles with Neuron for his Boogaloo popping . He emulated the dancer AKIN ( Boogaloo KIN ) , a dancer who specialised in popping and the subgenre of popping Boogaloo in particular . AKIN used to have workshops / lessons in Gwangju and remembers J - Hope coming to them all . J - Hope would take lessons from Neuron and then go give lessons from late evening till dawn . He would often miss the last bus back to his home as he would be dancing well past midnight . He would crash at a close friends home and then wake up early and go back to practice . 6. In 2009 ( age 15 ( i ) , 16 ( k ) ) J - Hope took part in a competition held by JYP Entertainment held in Seoul ( it is often cited as an audition competition ) . He missed his Middle School graduation to go and partake in it . He was part of a group with three other boys , put together for the competition . They won the popularity contest . 7. In 2010 ( age 16 ( 1 ) , 17 ( K ) ) J - Hope's dance teacher recommended he go to an audition for Bighit Entertainment . He was left in the studio with the camera on while the Bighit staff had lunch . He danced for three hours and the staff knew that he would be a special trainee . He was signed , the first trainee to be signed under Bighit for their new boy group . He did not move to Seoul straight away . On Christmas Day that year J - Hope moved to the Bighit dorms in Seoul where other trainees ( including RM and Suga ) had been for living for several months . +7 8. When J - Hope moved into the dorms he was the only dancer in the trainees at the time , the rest were all underground / self taught rapper trainees . As Bighit decided change the concept of their proposed boy group more towards an idol group rather than the pure Hip Hop concept they had initially been going to go with , several trainees left and new trainees started to come in . This process took a couple of years to finalise . During that time J - Hope started to learn more about rapping through listening and watching the other trainees have rap battles in their dorms . He would join in and the other trainees would help him to learn how to get better at rapping as well as writing music and producing . He in turn would help them with learning dance . His formal training with Bighit included dance , rap , music producing and writing , stage performance , acting , modelling and vocal training as it did for all the

Jhope was a street dancer before. And yes he LOVESSS Hiphop(old sch hiphop), all the members do especially jhope, suga and rm, the rappers of the group.(check out 'hiphop lover' their song). He never learnt to dance bc it came naturally to him. Lol before debut, bts was known as 'the group jung hoseok is in' bc he was THAT well known and talented(jung hoseok is his real name). He is the dance leader of the group and monitors the overall performance of the group and the members. It blows my mind how talented he is like.. he can rap like god, dance like he invented it, sing so good he could be a vocalist, a very talented producer(check out hope world his self produced mixtape its a bop), looks like someone who could end models' career and is a really caring and a kind person oof i could go on and on. Also, he is the most intimidating and scary person and the members say the is the scariest out of all of them when angry.

❤️Jimin, since age 11 studied, performed, & competed (winning every competition) in hip hop, popping (excels), & street dance, attending the renowned Busan Just Dance Academy, while also attending middle school, where being quite athletic, joined football team, excelled in track, awesome basketball player, great at billiards as well!! He then started studying & ultimately performing contemporary. The media even called Jimin 'The rising star of Busan', after seeing a performance! Jimin, while attending Busan High School of the Arts, aside from studying contemporary dance, also studied ballet and even traditional Korean dance!! Jimin even had an offer to dance overseas, which he turned down because he wanted to be a singer as well since the 2nd grade!! To the dismay of one of his dance instructors, who said, "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin auditioned for BigHit and ultimately was last member to join BTS, only having just a few months being a trainee, as opposed to all other member who were there already for 2-3 yrs!! Even so Jimin still received the official title of Main Dance & Lead Vocalist!!! Jimin now has also won the title King of Kpop as well as Best #1 Top Dancer in Kpop, both for 2 years in a row!!! His stage presence is incomparable, so mesmerizingly spectacular. Jimin even earned the name Stage Commander'!! Jimin is even called the 'Rookie's Bible'! Other idols look up and try to emulate & learn from him. He's looked up to by many Kpop idols who he's quite popular with!! As well as other renowned artists and celebs worldwide. Jimin, since a quite young age, for 8 yrs also trained in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts which all gave him his amazing inner core strength as well as his phenomenal flexibility, which Jimin applies to all his gravity defying dance moves! Jimin has found a way to incorporate all his various dancing style abilities as well as his vast knowledge of martial arts into his own unique absolutely so amazingly spectacular dancing abilities.

In terms of versatility, I'd say Jimin is the best dancer because he's experienced in multiple styles of dance including contemporary dance. But in general, I'd say there rly isn't a "best" dancer as they're all amazing but just have different styles due to their different backgrounds in dance so it all depends on your own preferences and opinions 💜

Well no actually Jhope is the more versatile dancer. Versatility in dancing is defined as number of styles + high proficiency in those styles + how well your dominant style can be incorporated into it + potential. Jhope has proficiency in House, Popping, Hiphop and Locking. Jimin has high proficiency in Hiphop, Popping and contemporary (I've also heard that he did locking but I've searched all he's pre debut stuff and I haven't seen him do it once). The problem arises that kpop fans believe that any dance style or genre that is performed in sneakers is automatically Hiphop this way of thinking is also incorrect.

@@mimilapin Of course the styles I listed isn't everything he has experience in but from my perspective what I listed for him outweighs the other styles he does and ties into each other better. I also applaud him to be able to embrace the emotion and expression that comes from modern(tbh if got a chance to train with a pro in that area of dance bts will now have two dancers of the best classical style dancers in the industry)as well as being able to incorporate so many different flavorings within urban choreo. Overall I think that his skills shouldn't be confined to solely kpop but the bts fandom can be just so weird at times when people mention who's the best dancer. Sadly I guess we'll just have to wait to and see what career he takes on after bts maybe then he might get more recognition for his dance prowess.
