Love Dan! One of his older covers that I had never heard the original of but means the world to me is Bruce Dickenson's Tears of the Dragon. His humor is very evident in his beach vlog video with Pour Some Sugar On Me.

Dan Vasc is outstanding, he's lots of fun too. His covers are so good, particularly his Evanescence covers (Lithium is brilliant), his cover of Eye of the Tiger by Survivor is awesome. Seperate Ways by Journey is another great cover. He's done more Iron Maiden covers like 2 Minutes 2 Midnight. His cover of Kiss from a Rose by Seal is outstanding and features another awesome KZfaq singer called Violet Orlandi, check her out too Dane if you haven't already, she does great Evanescence covers too. Speaking of video games, there's a virtual metal band called Pentakill from the game League of Legends by Riot Games. It's a 7 piece band with a male and a female singer, Karthus and Kayle, Jorn Lande from Masterplan is the voice of Karthus, and Noora Louhimo from Battle Beast is the voice of Kayle. They are awesome and well worth listening to. A song called Redemption is highly recommended, and one of a very few which both Karthus and kayle sing together. Great reaction Dane... 🤘🤘

I agree, Dan is so charismatic! And he can sing anything - primarily rock and metal, but also folk, Broadway, movies, even opera (Nessun Dorma). He sings what he likes, and he does it all superlatively. Thanks for doing this. I hope more people will get to know him and subscribe to his channel. BTW, he'll be dropping a new Christmas song soon, so keep an eye out for that. Angels We Have Heard on High is great, as is Adeste Fideles. Happy holidays!

Subscribed. I came to Dan Vasc the other way round. It was the FNT theme song that led me to him and sent me down the rabbit hole. He has a remarkable ability to give life to lyrics which increases both understanding and appreciation of a song. I was never a heavy metal fan but through him I finally got it, particularly in the case of power metal, because of that skill. He's truly a storyteller in music. BTW, the shirt Victor is wearing is the Swedish band Eleine which he has now joined full time. Go search for recent pics of the band to see the face that goes with that hair and those amazingly agile fingers!

Awesome review, Dane! Now for the most difficult question. Which song by Dan is *your* most favorite? I have about 30 of them all vying for #1 spot, but to choose which one (besides the one I'm currently on in his playlist) is impossible. Still, i pressure you to decide. ❤

Dang. You got my brain stewing on this one and yes, this is hard. Ok, I think my favorite is "Time to say goodbye" Feat. Rehn Stillnight. Mostly because it links his memory to his father and upbringing . Closely behind that, is Star Spangled Banner, and this is because of the apology video he posted right after it. That is what I love about Dan, he does what he wants, sticks to his foundations and beliefs, and doesn't bend the knee to criticism because he is who he is. It always blows my mind when people express who they are or speak their beliefs, get criticized for it, then come back and apologize because they offend someone. KZfaq popped up Dan's Amazing Grace in my feed in June and I listened because I like that hymn. Was blown away and that is still my favourite of his. So glad I found you. My journey with DV is similar. I found Nerdrotic about 3 years ago and from that Dan Vasc. In fact it was about one year ago Dan appeared on Friday Night Tights. Dan has a band... ... check them out..... he is absolutely... positively... phenomenal... unbeatable ... he's my favorite singer.... found him quite a few years ago. But was seldom online so I missed out on some of his stuff, and had to go back and check them all out. He has come so far from the day he started his online Journey... So Dan and his band, FEARLESS, have been working on a new album (their old album from 2016(?) is on his homepage). Victor The Guitar Nerd is Victor Jonasson, who has just signed with the Swedish band ELEINE to be a full member of the band, but he has been their live guitarist for over 6 months, and you can see him fully on their live videos since at least March 2023 (he is the only blonde in the group). I learned about Dan through his cover of Amazing Grace, and slid down the rabbit hole since then. There are some reactors who refuse to cover this work because they feel the subject is objectionable -- sadly they do not really understand it. As for the performance, both Dan and Victor are extraordinary and entertaining -- and FearTheBeardo should get a 'shout-out' too for the opening comments.

First time seeing you! Glad I found you via our mutual love of Dan's music! Sadly, it's been only for three years now; wish I would have found him sooner! Nice shoutout to Gary at Nerdrotic and the Geeks + Gamers crew, who I found after I found Dan. At first, wasn't sure I liked the FNT crew, but now, they're can't miss entertainment. I don't mind the wait between songs. I grew up as a kid and teens in the 70s and 80s, when we'd have to wait literally years for new music, and we had only radio, tv, and magazines to keep up with our favorite artists. Music fans today have it so much easier than we did!

IMO, there is nobody out there that can compare to Dan. He blows everyone else out of the water. His covers are so much better than the originals that I find I can't listen to the originals anymore. LOL. Thanks for the fantastic reaction! And FYI his name is pronounced Vasc like ASK.

I'm a bit late watching this reaction - which I really enjoyed. His last name is pronounced Vasc - rhymes with "mask." It's short for Vasconcelos. And Dan does have his own band. As I had never listened to Iron Maiden I checked it out. Dan and Victor do an incredible job; its my understanding they got a copyright strike due to its being so perfect a job and Dan had to work to get it released. To me the Iron Maiden version seemed to make light of evil, perhaps because of all the fake monsters in the video I watched. Victor and Dan put the reality and threat of evil right here in your face in black and white.

Correction needed: Dan’s last name is pronounced like ask/ mask/ bask/ task, but with a V in front. (You’re saying it with a “shh” sound at the end.)
