There was a show called "Worst Place to Be A Pilot" featuring Susi Air. Many young pilots would go and work for Susi Air just so they could get enough hours to be able to move up to the bigger airlines.

This is gold. Watched the entire flight! “Wheres the runway?” (skimming tree tops) “you’ll see it in a second” lol I can only imagine. I’m going to have to fly this route! Been looking for some good bush airports

I just did a few flights with DHL Grand Caravan around the Bahamas pretending to do cargo trips lol

I watch the missionary bush pilot KZfaq that flies these actual trips... Really good representation of it although his checklist for startup seems a bit more involved...

Absolutely incredible, Jeff. Indonesia is a very intimidating landscape for bush flying! So good to see this part of the world featured - a bit tired of the same old N. American and European locations. There's a whole world out there! Really enjoyed this!

Hello jeff, i'm a pilot from indonesia and many of my instructor and colleagues is bush pilot in papua. They are real life heroes whos helping others while puting their life on the line. Sadly i lost my senior at flying academy while he's serving in papua a couple years ago. Mad Respect to any bush pilot watching especially in indonesia. You are da real MVP

I fly a pt-6 every day for work and actually it doesn’t matter high or low idle for takeoff or flight. The only thing you run into is turbine lag below about 80% Ng in low idle it’s about 5 seconds and in high idle its 2-3 seconds. That being said it’s a sim and it’s not perfectly modeled, but I cannot complain at all about the sim so far most planes are very good. @JeffFavignano

I can't speak for the 208 specifically, but other aircraft that use the PT-6 require the inertial separator to be on when not taking off/landing on a prepared surface.

Hey Jeff, please consider a short flight around the region of Lake Arrowhead California, just North of San Bernardino. Diverse terrain from desert to alpine. ✈️

My brother worked for two years flying the PAC750 around the bush strips in Papua New Guinea. Looks like MSFS got it pretty spot on.

Funny you talk about flying with other ppl. My first ever flight was with a random guy on steam I saw that had the game I was asking him all kinds of questions while I downloaded the game ended up flying with him for my first hour of gameplay.

Bugalaga is the name of the strip. You want to hold the brakes, set power (not in red) and real ease the brakes for the take off in these places

how did you get the reverse thrust to work? If i go into reverse it only sets the prop to "Nuteral" and i dont have any revere what so ever....
