Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rebrand of their website to Sussex.com has caused a huge stir, as questions are asked whether it breaks the deal made between the pair and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine says the move - which breaks royal customs - takes the Sussexes into ‘dangerous territory’ and calls for the King to strip Harry and Meghan
The Daily Mail’s Editor at Large and veteran royal correspondent Richard Kay points out that cynics might question the timing of this announcement given the senior royals are away in Norfolk, as both the King and the Princess of Wales are resting there after recent medical treatment.
The Mail on Sunday’s Natasha Livingstone meanwhile provides an update on the conditions of both King Charles and Kate Middleton and the latest news on Meghan’s new podcast deal as she and Harry land in Canada on a promotional tour. The panel also discuss how the Prince William - under greater scrutiny since his father was taken ill, finds himself caught between family and royal duty.

I was watching The Crown last night & it struck me how much loss William has had to contend with, his mothers death, his grand parents death, his brothers betrayal, the loss of his brother in his family, his fathers and wifes medical issues. Its horrific for 1 person to contend with. He needs praise rather than Judgement. I think he is doing a wonderful job holding it all together.

Hi thank you for all your programs, I always enjoy them. I have had cancer twice , no treatment after a double mastectomy sadly it came back in my lymph nodes so then had to have chemo and radiation. I didn't go to church for about 9 months. I feel for the King it is a brutal journey. People need to give him peace. As for the brat and his wife pity they cant just disappear but sadly they are trying to bring the Royals down. Thank you ,Gleness from South Africa.

(Back when Megan talked back to her majesty through her “people” saying nobody owns the word royal and that service is universal, blah blah blah. As far as going back on the agreement. It was told to us supposedly second hand, and no name on either hand. It doesn’t sound like her majesty. Too much scrutiny is being placed upon KC's cancer diagnosis versus his work sustainability during treatment. There are examples of people in high places (Jamie Raskin, American politician), who continued to work through his cancer journey throughout 2023, appearing in public (and in congress!) looking drawn and swathed in a headscarf.. showing some grit! He won the cancer battle. People need to allow KC the same opportunity. He may be down, but he is not out!

That was a very personal childhood nickname given to her by her Father and was used on the regular in love letters by her husband. It’s a very personal name and has a lot of meaning to her. Just because it’s her grandson choosing it for her great-granddaughter doesn’t mean they can just take over and copyright/trademark a such personal name. ALSO, why are they choosing names from ONLY his side of the family? What about the women in Meghan’s family? What Doria or Meghan’s black & non Royal Family not good enough? Unless they separate their brand from the royal family and stop bashing them, most people will never like them. Harry and Meghan behave like toddlers, and it is clear that she does not like where she landed in the hierarchy that is a part of being in the royal family. Meghan thought she would be equal to Catherine; she is not and never will be. Catherine will be Queen, and Meghan will be a duchess. There is no place in the hierarchy for Meghan to go, even if she were not the most hated person in the United Kingdom. Nobody ever told Meghan that she would not always be the most important person in the room, and by falsely inflating her ego, her parents created a monster.

William does not have to be 'shaped up.' He is. But the King, knowing how important his wife's support helps him , understands how important William's support is to Catherine. And the King loves his grandchildren and wants the best for them. He hated that his mother had to be absent due to duty. There is a way for proper balance. Actually the idea of Anne visiting is brilliant. Hawy and Megain have not had the family really impress on them how terrible their behaviour has been. Megain avoids that because she doesn't like to be held accountable but the both need a real telling off and warning. Go Anne.

They won’t pay any attention until they are removed from the line of succession and removed from the Royal Family website. That will make them sit up. The King needs to make it clear they are no longer members of the Royal Family then they can’t scrounge off the relationship. At that point they can call themselves whatever they want and nobody will care.

He made stupid decisions and he has paid the price. Compared to what the evil lying deceitful self righteous, self entitled arrogant ex-royals in the US have done and continue to do to the Royal family, and seemingly to get away with it without any consequences, Andrew is a saint. So time to leave him out of things that don't concern him. He just goes about his life out of the spotlight, minding his own business, he just stays on the Royal estate out of the way. Just remember he was NEVER charged with any crime, the hooker was of age according to UK law, she NEVER was a trafficked sex slave. She had penthouse suites in 3 different cities, she flew in private planes, made heaps of money. He was just used as the scapegoat for the very high profile American men.

I wholeheartedly agree with Sarah Vine’s opinion on “those two”…non-UK citizens might not understand how the UK system works or what was agreed and stipulated by the Sandringham Summit. I feel that it is a total betrayal of Our Late Majesty and everything that the Royal Family have stood for. The disrespect they have shown (and continue to show) is astounding and a disgraceful display of pique from two so-called adults. The only thing that I would disagree with Ms Vine is the one that she stated that the female idiot was a “…quite successful actress”….she wasn’t, she was number 6 on the call-list and she wasn’t even a main character in that cast; and also, barely anyone had ever heard of her before she clawed into her thick, and balding husband.

I think that maybe KC, in his very brief meeting with his ungrateful spare son, gave him short shrift (I notice the photo of him leaving in the car that he looked very red faced and almost teary). Maybe the king told him in no uncertain terms that what he has done is never going to allow him back in the family fold. I am wondering now if the spare and his vile spouse are now just going to do what they please, within the confines of legality. They are trying to reset the dial and galvanise some support for a new beginning. I doubt it will work ultimately, every step they take just exposes their ulterior motives, I’m afraid I wish failure on them at every turn. They now want to be addressed as Sir and Ma’am in Canada, if that doesn’t smack of arrogance in the extreme, and a middle finger to the real royals, I don’t know what is. They’re really not that important, they just think they are.

In all fairness for William we don’t know what how serious Catherine’s medical issue is (we can only speculate). The people of the UK need to be patient and give the RF the benefit of doubt during these trying times for them. If they have a problem with the Sussexes I have faith it will be dealt with accordingly!

But look at the documentary of 'the Dutchy of Cornwall', there you see the work of now king charles, but started when he was Prince of Wales, and what has now been passed on to William, being the Prince of Wales. The documentary is a joy and the work of Charles is such a fantastic example of organic farming. Impressive🥰
