Rachel and Dan, thanks for the fantastic videos. They have been extremely informative and invaluably helpful in bringing my Grandmother-in law's 641 Workmaster back to life. Her tractor had sat still for over a decade, and although I consider myself to have a good mechanical aptitude, I had never worked on a tractor before and had no idea where to begin. Your step by step videos have been my main source of information and I'm happy to say that the old girl is purring like a kitten! Thanks again!

Thanks for your tutorial. I have 1954 Ford 900 Jubilee in great shape. Has lots of attachments and seems to be a great little tractor. I purchased from a good friend's father who was a small engine, oilfield, jack of all trades kind of guy and he took a nasty fall and at 82 they needed to sell and move into a home. I enjoyed learning about his use of the tractor and it's little foibles. Easy to work and maintain so it will be a great fit for my recovery program. I will be back for your information and teaching to further the upkeep on my Ford!

Rachel, New to your channel but I am so glad I found it. I just bought my first tractor, a 1958, Ford, 800 (850) last week and I have been binge watching your channel for the past day. I want to thank you sooo much for all of these videos. I will be starting my repairs next week and I will be using all your videos to assist me in my endeavor. Yes, I will be ordering from your web sight because I believe you love what you do and you deserve to earn and keep this channel going. With all that said I would be very grateful if you took a moment and made a short video on the operation of a Ford 800 or similar. I have spent days surfing KZfaq and find everyone driving and showing off their tractor but I can't find one video that goes through the operation of all the knobs and levers (hydraulics). I recently bought an I&T shop manual for it and although it is a great read, it does little to explain the actual operations of the peripheral levers and pedals I see on the sides of the rear hydraulic area. In other words it would be a big help to someone like me to watch and learn how to operate a tractor. Just a note; mine has a front end loader, constructed with tube steel not round tubing. Keep up the great videos. Bless you and your family, keep safe and be good.

This video, like all of your videos, is awesome. Thanks to your help, I rebuilt my first carburetor (not counting lawnmowers) since the 80's. It didn't run bad before, but oh wow, now it's absolutely *perfect*. Starts instantly, beautiful low idle, and instant throttle response. Best of all, it isn't leaking gas all over the place anymore!

So wish I had a tractor to fix. Honed my skills on a Ferguson TE20, but that was in a previous life. This tractor was lovingly referred to as a Vaal Japie in Afrikaans. Thanks Rachel for doing what you do. Unfortunately cannot and will not be able to purchase anything from you but love every minute watching you strip, fix and re-assemble.

Great video as always. As for the apparent self serving plug for buying from her site...her up front statements are absolutely true...and if anything, understated. Buying from her site keeps her engaged in providing this high quality content. With her skills and knowledge she could make a good living doing just about anything. The fact that she is sharing it here should not be taken for granted. OK so you don't own a tractor...well go buy one and then buy the parts from her to make it purrr again.

Hi Rachel, I really enjoy your videos and love to see a fellow Michigander! I always knew you were special just based on what I’ve seen here but I stumbled across your other channel with AWANA content and was pleasantly surprised to see your work with kids. I am a preachers kid and my dad‘s church always had Awana clubs. My family has been involved with them for well over 40 years now. In fact, my mom, dad and myself all worked at their headquarters in Carol Stream Illinois. Keep up the great work and best wishes to you and your family.

Hi, I have been a consistent viewer of your videos for several years now. There is always, on most content providers, on the subject of tractors, plenty of information about Ford 2n, 4n, 8n, and Jubilee tractors. I have just inherited an 800 that has been neglected for many years. Last year it would still start and run. I believe that after some replacement wiring and along with the points and starter switch that I recently replaced that it will still start and run fine. It has front end loader, three point hitch and what I assume is an after market backhoe. The backhoe is still functioning to some degree, but the front end loader seems to have a blockage. I have zero way to haul this to a repair shop and nearest, tiny town, with no tractor repair services, is 14 miles away. It's more than 50 miles to a town with anything resembling a repair shop for tractors. I have just come across your video to identify tractors, but I need to identify the backhoe and to confirm identity of my front end loader, in case it isn't a factory product. I've asked everyone that might know in a 60 mile radius with no real information to solve these questions and I've been trying to find the answers for nearly three years now.. Yes, I know that there has been large amounts of water in the front end loader system. I can not find any type of water collection bowl/filter on either of the hydraulic reservoirs. I have replaced about seven of the many hydraulic hoses altogether on front end loader and the back hoe and none of them are leaking, yet. My father rebuilt the two largest hydraulic cylinders on the front end loader and there are several small to moderate leaks in other cylinders. The problem doesn't seem, though I'm definitely not more than a novice at working on them, to be more than a blockage. Wondering if the water in the system may have corroded the metal tubing running between the hydraulic hoses at the control block (maybe wrong term) with the levers to lift and tilt the bucket on front end loader and the hoses at the far end of the front end loader and has therefore may have rust in the control box. The front end loader does still move up and down and the bucket tilts, but there it is very slow now with whining and all the front end loader hoses flex and move as if there is a lot of pressure building leading me to believe that the hydraulic pump for loader is strong. I will still lift considerable weight, though very slowly. Asking, as an individual, with little money, who takes care of two bed ridden individuals, both of their properties and my own, the mowing of all three properties, which have a total of 16 acres that are kept mowed and weed ate, by me alone and the home maintenance of all three properties, (insert some whining here that I might have left out in the prior few sentences...lol) where can I find information on those questions about the loader problems and the loader and backhoe identification without a large investment? I do have a cell phone for any pictures that are required.

Great tutorial however a few things to remember. A vice and red rag make a great 3rd hand. On the butterfly screws, they need to be swedged on the threaded side or apply thread locker. With vibration they can back out over time and get sucked into the engine. Not a good thing. Finally, to set the float, bend the tab that the needle hooks onto. The only time you would need to bend it elsewhere is because it was bent and the pontoons aren't level. I speak as the owner of an 841 tractor. Of all the tractors I own, that is my go to for any real work. Also my tag is silver and attached to one of the bowl screws. The scrapper was a great idea to remove the seat, never thought of that, just made my life easier.

GREat Video......One thing I wanted to mention So many tractors have clogged or extremely slow fuel feed to the carburetor from the gas tank. Sometimes even as little as a steady drip drip. There for not supplying enough gas to run your your tractor. The carb is using more gas than being supplied from the gas tank causing it to flutter the engine or it just dies and then will restart later and run for 2 more minutes.draing the carb dry again and again. Blow out clean the line Caution taken to not blow lines back into the gas tank.

I would recommend a couple changes to the float valve seat installation. Use a hollow point screwdriver or make one out of a scraper to tighten it down. It needs to be really tight to seal, or it will seep and you will get a small drip….for me I got a drop every couple hours when the tractor sat. You can check that the valve is sealing by holding it closed with your finger and using soapy water and air pressure to look for bubbles. It only takes a minute and can save you a lot of time down the road.

Tip, There is something about Liquid Wrench, if applied to gaskets before trying to open for a couple hours, or overnight, that softens the gasket and makes them pliable again! I almost never break old gaskets in dis-assembly, and try this before buying new gasket kits! I aslo use LA Awesome from the dollar store in a cheap Ultrasonic, which cleans old carb's and jet's very well.

Make sure you replace the rubber/neoprene gasket that the top of the sediment bowl presses against when you screw the tightening knob up. If you have to go out and buy one, I would suggest buying two so you don't have to go out, make a separate trip to buy another one sometime coming up.

The rebuild was very good except you did not show much detail when installing the Venturi. There is a right and a wrong way and it cane be tricky to get it seated. A little more detail on actually tuning the main and idle jets would be appreciated. Thanks you really seem to know your stuff.
