Cowboys & Aliens (2011): Jake Lonergan enters the town of Absolution with no memory of how he turned up in the desert. However, he becomes the townspeople's only hope when aliens suddenly attack.

I think one of the biggest reasons this movie never became a hit is just a brutality of it. Aliens are ruthless, and some scenes are very disturbing. Like this scene. It is PG-13, but it hits harder than many R movies.
