In this much anticipated episode of the Blood Brothers Podcast, Dilly Hussain speaks with the founder of Alasna Institute and the Muslim Skeptic blog Daniel Haqiqatjou. #BloodBrothersPodcast #DanielHaqiqatjou #YaqeenInstitute
The podcast begins with a brief overview of Daniel’s recent online debate with the prominent atheist KZfaqr Ridvan, better known as the ‘Apostate Prophet’.
The public speaker then explains his issues with Muslim leaders he describes as “compassionate imams” - scholars and students of knowledge who allegedly propagate a compromised Islam which conforms to secular liberalism.
The crux of the podcast looks at Daniel’s areas of disagreement with the Yaqeen Institute of Islamic Research, an organisation he was previously employed by, and the various disagreements and concerns he has with the organisation’s contributors.

Wallahi, I like this Brother Daniel very much. He´s a very intellectual and academically skilled Researcher and Panalist. But most importantly - everbody has to recognize this - he has Ikhlas, love for Allah subhana wa ta ala and his Messenger and for the protection of the Ummah of Muhammad salallahu aleihi wa sallam and the orthodox-traditional and undistorted teachings of the religion of Truth, al Islam. May Allah azza wa jal preserve Brothers like Daniel and grant us the blessings of the teachings and methodologies of fearless, intellectual and also merciful and wise Ulama, who dont shy away standing up for Haqq.

Rubbish- how can you be so stupid to comment on someone's ikhlaas? You, me or anyone cannot comment on someone's ikhlaas or sincerity. Why someone does something- their motivation - is a secret they hold which Allah knows. Someone may appear pious mukhlis in Quran, jihad or charity yet they'll be proven to be munafiq (see bukhari). So, learn your Deen and terminology You cannot be sure of someone's ikhlaas- especially when they're KZfaq famous in their ever decreasing circles. However you can say that they're uncompromising, make sacrifice... etc.

@@learneverydayseekknowledge580 I don't get your point about evolution. Even evolutionary theories are being debated constantly and changing. There are at least 5 competing theories that all contradict each other and they are all acceptable theories in science. So what gives him the right to demand that Darwinian evolution is a fact? He is way outside his field talking about these issues. Also, the philosophy of science says that science can never give us facts and YQ is giving lectures saying evolution theories are facts.

If he wants to play with science then he has to bring empirical evidence to support his claim. Do you not see why this is all problematic?

But what is considered "watering down Islam"? That is the question for ulema and scholars...not students of knowledge who LOVE to talk about this for social media attention. Don't you think this is another form of "watering down Islam" for social media attention? @upon sunnah dedicated their lives to distorting Islam you mean? And what is watering down Islam and why it is 100% dangerous for the ones who follow them? Daniel explains that In the video and there are many articles and videos on his channel and on his website. Go and do your own research instead of making such gullible schoolboy comments. Also, Daniel always takes the stance in the lens of Islam, which most of the he times is against the brainwashed majority Muslims of the west to whom liberalism is the supreme. He could have gained more popularity by now by sticking with popular tricks and institutes like Yaqeen, but he clearly didn't care about it. Popularity isn't inherently wrong. If someone stays true to the teachings of Islam and gets popularity via that then there's no problem. But if they like the celebrity imam kneels down to man made ideologies and joins hand with homosexuals to insult islam then that's a problem. Stop defending these spineless foolish lost liberals and learn Islam for real.

I'm very impressed with this dialogue. Despite (what I assume is) brother Dilly's general support for the positions of brother Daniel in most of these matters, he did a very solid job and pressing the opposing points in challenging those positions. This wasn't merely a "softball" interview whereby a supportive host sets up his guest with simple questions and straw-man arguments to allow him to hit a series of home runs. This was nearly a debate - albeit a very well-mannered one.

When in fact those people he said about belong in the circles are not as bad as the ones he defends against brother Daniel. In fact the ones he defends are by far more worst then those he meant belong in a circles. That why here one can clearly see the difference between someone who follow the true teaching of Islam like Brother Daniel and someone who has the Irjaa (corrupted sect) mindset Like Dilly of 5Pillars. He asked some tough questions, not because he's biased, but because these are some of the questions that the people in the ummah are in fact asking and raising doubts about. Great interview MashaAllah. Allah unite our hearts in this duniya and unite us under His throne in the akhira. Ameen.

I don't believe I've witnessed Daniel's tone come off harshly. I've been following his videos for a few months now, and I am inclined to agree with his criticisms. I'm a recent revert, and Islam has been a huge perspective shift for me. So much so that at times, I have to take breaks just to let the reality of this new knowledge sink in. I respect Daniel's critiques because he's solidifying and drawing forth tangible reflections of current issues. I say this as someone who once identified with a leftist liberal progressive mentality. Now my sole purpose is to seek out what is Islamically sound.

MashaAllah a very good podcast. Great interview by br. Dilly with br. Daniel. Just a a small comment with regards to taking maslaha and mafsadah into account there is a legal maxim that can be used to determine or control to what degree maslaha can be used: إذا اجتمع الحلال والحرام غلب الحرام "When a halal and haram is mixed then haram prevails" So if someone needs to obtain a maslaha (fighting islamophobia) by committing a haram (allying and/or recognising and/or fighting for LGBT rights) then the haram will prevail and maslaha is thrown out. Allah knows best

Brother Daniel opened my eyes and showed truth otherwise I was a big fan of other compassionate leaders and slowly they were changing me to American Islam . I was aware of that any where Islam went in the past, culture got mixed with Islam and people start following cultural Islam . I was noticing in America, icna, isna , msa everywhere islam is losing true version. Last few yrs I am following brother Daniel and I was able to recognize truth and various leaders and activists. I became careful whom I listen whom I follow . I was donating money to different organizations thinking that they are bringing good to Muslim ummah . But now I am very careful about who gets my donations. I love activism but as Muslim our activism should be according to Islamic principle . May Allah preserve and flourish brother Daniel. I am insha Allah 100% with him. I want to live and die on truth of Allah. No compromise or change in Islam because we will have difficulties to live in West . Allah is with us to remove or ease that difficulties . Our job is to try by remaining in the way of Allah . Result will come from Him .

Kindly watch the video of Daniel "Cultural Islam is Important" If your understanding of cultural islam mean "islam being modified with culture" then thats what happening in America. But traditional approach was vise versa. Where ever Islam came - people kept what does not go against basic principles of islam, existing culture which were going against principles of Islam were replaced with Islamic values. Just an Example - in Indian subcontinent there has been the culture of women wearing Saree during special occations, but were less modest then Islam orescribed - when Islam came to India Muslim women continued to wear Saree but with more modest way, special occation replaced with/limited to Eid and Marriages (excluding festivals). This way "cultural Islam" is never a problem. But in contrast - whats happening in west is they are mixing cultural ideas of liberalism with Islam - where basic principles of Islam are being compromised in order to make it fit into the culture. Earlier times all the religions were having commanalities in their culture like modesty, family-oriented values, justice etc. Again I suggest you to watch the above mentioned video..

Brother Daniel was unstoppable mashaAllah! Bother Dilly tried every possible way to jam him up, but failed spectacularly each and every single time. Of course this was from a place of love instead of hate, so I’m not holding anything against brother Dilly. I wish non Muslims would debate like this, i.e. sincerely, because then humanity would benefit so much more from those debates. The points and arguments made were very real and defined, but ultimately brother Daniel was triumphant through championing Islam. Something that I realized while watching this video is that these compassionate Imam’s are doing exactly what the israelis, zionists, jews, liberals, feminists, lgbtq, woke and etc are doing… Trying to silence the opposition and being successful more often than not astagfirulah. Keep up the non compromising fight for Islam brother Daniel inshaAllah and ameen!

2:11:08 So you are saying Allah didn't have the vision that there will be time in the future where we might need to align with "LGBT" and stuff ? of course ha had. how can you say Islam is medieval. It is these Organizations that are medieval. Allah showed us guidance not just for the past but for the future, till the day of judgment. Brother Daniel is absolutely right about these organizations. They are portrayed as what majority of Muslim believe but the case is totally opposite. And Seriously, you don't do Ijtihad on something that is established in Islam. You do Ijithad on things which are uncertain and can have opposite meaning. LGBT (or supporting it's rights) is totally against Islam. There is no Ijtihad required for it in the first place. One of the most common Instrument to judge whether something is part of Islam or not is IJMAH (common conses of Ummah). Not a single sect in Islamic history has ever endorsed the immoral sexual acts or even the rights for people who do it.

Did I miss something? Why do these brothers (Dilly and Muhammad Hijab) feel the need to play devil's advocate when speaking to brother Daniel? Is there really any other stance to take except to STAND WITH brother Daniel UNEQUIVOCALLY? Isn't this what the seerah is all about? Nobody mocks you when you are doing 'amr bil maarouf', the tougher jihad is 'nahi un il-munkar'. It's only when you engage in the latter do you get called names and by Allah, the Prophet (PBUH) was called worse. So, STAND FIRM BROTHER DANIEL!!! May Allah reward you many many many fold for your fight against taghut! And may Allah give these podcasting brothers the courage to stand with you, without the if's and but's.

YES, he hit it perfectly about how the general American public are hungry for what Islam teaches. I think we have that perspective and understanding of people because we're from Texas☺️ I honestly think a lot of believing people stopped being as interested in going to the Protestant churches because the teachings have been so watered down. Something is only the truth when it is told in its entirety. And people know when they aren't getting the whole/real truth.
