I’ve been doing it the hard way. I use my own photo for the Lock Screen and use the photos edit feature to add text. In addition to my name I also include the phone number of the phone. Text can be placed anywhere on the screen. This technique can be used with nearly any cell phone, including flip phones.

Thanks, Daniel ! I generally do not use focus at all so the Focus Method works for me. The Widget method is more visible and probably most preferable for those that like the Focus mode to let their iPhones control their lives. (Not me … I’m retired. I now have time to do things when and if I so choose🤣) The Any Text Widget opens up other useful ideas!

hi warren from Australia I worked out how to put my focus with my name but I don't understand why it gives you an option to pick a colour. Because when you pick a colour it doesn't come out in colour you pick red but your name was white. I've had the same problem.

Everything works it seems, but how do you get just text with no dumb icon in front?

Thank you for this video, I always wanted to put my name on the Lock Screen, I encountered an issue, I will be able to put my name using focus method without any issues, but, when I try to use the any text widget method, I will be able to do it and select the widget with my name but when I press done in the very corner of the Lock Screen the widget with my name disappears, I thought using a different wallpaper will fix the issue but, it doesn't work, do you think is because I'm on iOS 18 b2? I'm using an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Okay, so now it's working on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, using iOS 18 b2, I turned the phone off and when I turned it back on, the widget with my name using any text app started working!!!

I want the wallpaper 😂..but thx this any text widget is amazing

I put this on my phone... but now I'm thinking of this could be a great reminder of a upcomming evernt.. Dr office visit..etc.. just put the the Date and event instead of name.. and you will never forget it again since we all look at our phone all day and carry everywhere.
