@malle42343 жыл бұрын
He actually played several more games over a few days after encountering Danya. What I suspect is during the downtime of Danya talking through his moves, he got curious and checked the profile and realized he was playing against a GM speedrun account. If he played on without cheating it'd be obvious he didn't earn his rating, and if he cheated... well, it would be obvious that he cheated. Resigning was a panic move to try and avoid being banned. The funny part is that he got banned later regardless.

When black played QD4 in game 2 around 18:55 did Daniel miss QxC7 for a free pawn? Or would that not be a good move? (I’m only 1000 rated so fairly beginner)
@dariuszpys93073 жыл бұрын
It has 2 serious drawbacks: one immediate (tactical) and one longterm (positional). Positional: it opens C file for black to put pressure on white's knight and week pawn. It's risky, it gives black initiative and counterplay. Tactic drawback: you loose a knight. After Qxc7 black plays Bb4 and you have no way to defend knight. If knight moves, you loose rook.

No idea how the second guy is obvious. I didn't find in that game anything fishy. While watching I was making move predictions and I matched every single move he made up to Kg8. Not saying he wasn't a cheater, but that's just silly to accuse for cheating based on 1 game where you really have close to no hints. That's the issue with simple, technical, often reached positions - moves are so easy you just can't differentiate between good player and a cheater. I'm also not a great believer in chess.com antiban system cuz I know sometimes people are getting banned for no reason. I'm not a great player, just good - able to beat Nadya bot f.e - and I was once banned as well. On the other hand there is plenty of undetected cheaters on low elo. In fact chess.com in popular belief - no accessable data - is known to have the highest number of cheaters on the server. Alltogether I feel their antiban system is lacking something substantial, so I wouldn't take for granted ban as a prove of cheating. And I really don't care what titled players connected with chess.com have to say about algorithms. I have mate who has the account on chess.com is below 1k, rarely plays and uses engine from time to time for "fun" and trolling purposes. I also teammed with him several times for educational purposes where he scored with my help over 90% accu every time and obviously won all. Account is still not banned, because chess.com doesn't care much about low elo cheating.
@sankara7603 жыл бұрын
@@DonFreeq I mean you said it yourself. People below 1k elo probably don't even know if the opponent is using an engine. But strong players like GMs can easily detect whether they're playing an engine or a GM. And how is it not obvious? Exactly 4 or 5 seconds on very obvious moves screams cheating and the account was closed rightfully
@DonFreeq3 жыл бұрын
@@sankara760 Well, time usage maybe is a little bit suspicious but moves aren't. GM's indeed can easily detect cheating but not in all positions. Here it was too simple and straightforward. I'm not saying guy wasn't cheating, I'm just saying it's unjustified assumption if it's based only on that game. I don't believe chess.com algorithims and I would like to encourage you to do that as well. Fact you have seen that game, which doesn't tell a lot, and that chess.com has banned the guy is not enough for accussation in my opinion. Maybe he was cheater indeed, maybe not, but I would not take it for granted. That's all.
