This is a brilliant idea, I can see you helping a lot of people with this series, 👍 I think the only thing I would add is although you don't need to stretch fake skin I would do the motion just to cement that into my practice so it transfers over to real skin.
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck 3 жыл бұрын
That’s a good recommendation for everyone watching. When I use fake skin although I am very mindful of where I place my hands, I never truly focused on the stretching of the skin aspect as I couldn’t anticipate what that would truly feel and be like. From my experience what I have noticed is that stretching on human skin came more natural into my workflow. It is easier for me to 3 point stretch on a human versus fake skin but I would definitely recommend for others to do as stated and be mindful of where and what they are doing with their free hand. Thank you for your feedback and continued support my friend!

Nice!! When you dip into different tones do you rinse the needle or just keep dipping into each dark or light tone? So im guessing its ok to dip from light, then dark, then back to dark? Thanks. Great teachings!! Very helpful!!
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck 3 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question! So when I go back to dip it’s because the ink that was stored in the tip has been used up and there is nothing in there. So rinsing isn’t totally necessary unless I dipped into the wrong tone. Say I wanted to lighten up the tone I have in my needle I would dip it into a cup of straight sterile water or witch hazel. Thank you for your support! I appreciate you. Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all.

What are you using to remove the access ink from the fake skin that leaves your fake so clean?
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck 2 жыл бұрын
Thats a great question Jason! To remove excess ink from my fake skins I use simple vaseline to make that happen. I get a good amount of vaseline to cover the area I tattooed , I always make certain I have enough vaseline and I work it into the area I just tattooed with my finger tips. I softly wipe away the remaining ink left. Do you know what type of fake skin you are using on your end?
@jasonjones429
@jasonjones429 2 жыл бұрын
I'm using a pink brand from Amazon. I heard u mention real skin tattoo fake skin. Does it really matter what fake skin u use. I've used Vaseline on my tattoo before and after and when I wipe I've ruined the side on working on when l wipe away the ink so it's very frustrating.

can i ask for help? i have two rotary machines. 12 volts and 6 volts. do you know which one is better for whip shading? thanks.
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck 3 жыл бұрын
I typically approach whip, stipple, pepper type of shading with a softer hit and lower voltage but this may vary from artist to artist. I feel anywhere from 5-7 volts depending on technical approach, hand speed etc, would determine the final results. None the less, 5-7 volts would be a good range to start off in. It truly is up to you and what you want your workflow to be. What machines are they? Are they pen style tattoo machines?
@jonaslazanas5239
@jonaslazanas5239 3 жыл бұрын
@@DanielYuck thanks for your reply. it is handmade rotary. both dc mabuchi motors with adjustable cam. but i want to know which one i will parctice for whip shading. one is 6 volts motor. the other one is 12 volts motor
@DanielYuck
@DanielYuck 3 жыл бұрын
@@jonaslazanas5239 I would use the one with the lower voltage range . My machines are typically 3.5mm strokes as well. I don’t think there is a right or wrong as everything will vary from artist to artist as we all use different setups.
@Floshon

I would just test test and test again, to make your own opinion because nobody has the same hand speed movements than you ;) but for sure, shading is almost always with less voltage than lining.
