Zhao was given Devon problems back in 2017 both right and left hand, so he is legit crazy strong. Though I do have to say Zhao probably outweigh Danil around 20kg. Still impressive for a national level guy to defeat a world level guy, guess the extra weights made up for the differences in level.

Totally, out of all the matches, I was expecting this one to be the most interesting, and it did not disappoint! Zhao is a legit strong guy and probably will do well around the 80-85kg level internationally. Just wish the Chinese would have more international matches.

Devon was just being diplomatic and hamming it up for the camera. He could've flash-pinned Zhao if he'd wanted to. Zhao is good for his weight class, but there's no way he could possibly give any top heavyweights trouble on the table. Did you see how even Mirtaleh Aslanov dominated him in Shenzhen in 2016? Aslanov is not even in the top 20.

I absolutely agree the best thing for the sport is every round starting in a referees grip. Often in super matches you have to skip 10+ minutes just to see them pull for less than 1. It would be the best thing for the sport, especially from a spectator point of view. Starting every match as fair as possible and as quick as possible

I used to be of the opposite opinion that “the setup is part of the game” but the more I watch arm wrestling and the more I compete, the more I realize it’s just a big waste of time and energy.

@@user-vo9rt2ul5b Like Greg said, Ustinov's left arm is stronger than his right arm. On the right Nurdaulet is way stronger than Ustinov. Ustinov can't beat Mindaugas Tarasaitis, Nurdaulet can

Yeah aikarkhan will be too much for zhao. I think zhao is maybe competitive at up to 80 kg top 10 level

Although I was rooting for China, I expected Danil to blast through Zhao. I'm very happy that he won in a blowout fashion!!

Haha, knowing that right isn’t Danil’s good arm, I expected that this would’ve been a good fight. Would be a different story if the WAF 70 kg champion faced Zhao instead.

We can see that chinese armwrestling still got a long way to go. I know most of them don't have a compete trainning system like those world level athletes. They also don't have enough competing experience. But this is still a progress considering this sport is just started to grow in China

Normally about 90kg, but he’s competed as low as 80kg at WAF

Daniel exaggerated Zhao's weight on Instagram. Zhao's actual weight is less 95kg and has never reached 110kg

You are right. Zhao can win the championship in China with a weight of less than 90kg, so his weight fluctuates around this range. He has been busy with business in recent years, and if he prepares carefully, his weight can reach around 95kg
