Everytime I watch these yacht vids,I wonder where I went wrong 😂. This example is stunning. Oh man,the places I would park this off the western BC coast would add 10/15 years to my life.

Beautiful boat Lieutenant Dan. To me the Selenes are the most beautiful boat compared to her natural competitors Nordhavn and Kadey Krogen. They're all wonderful little ships though.

What is the purpose of the handrails on the fly bridge roof? Very nice boat by the way.

The handrails are installed for safety. It may not be a place you find yourself very often but it's not unusual for someone to go up there to either clean the hardtop or access the electronics mast. It's important to keep the hardtop clean because when it rains, the dirt will disburse down onto the superstructure in many directions. Hope this answers your question!

Although I find the serene a lovely boat, I'm put off by the fact nearly everyone I've looked at don't have a helm seat I don't fancy standing on a 2 or 4 hour watch.

I'm with you 100 pct. I'm 62 and have run Center Console boats while standing all my life. But now I'm creaky and ancient and looking for a trawler. I want to SIT. The old lady won't drive the boat. So it'll all me, all the time. No seat means limited time underway unless you're outside in the elements. A stool. Something.
