新時代の 3 ボーカルバンド” Dannie May”

Yunoです。前作「適切でいたい」の反響として、文字通り「適切でいたい」と思ってくれた人が多くいました。そして以前僕らなりの解を用意してると言いましたが今作がそれに当たります。タテマエのような社会で、それでも「ええじゃないか」と漏れたホンネ。行き着く先に少しでも希望があれば、とそんなエンドにしてます。本作はアニメーターであるカンタロさんの力をお借りして重厚なMVに仕上げたので、前作とは一味違った作りになった思います。この2作を通じて皆さんがどう感じたのか、また語り合えるのを楽しみにしてます！

目覚めた先の家族がいる、少なくとも猫の人生よりは幸せそうな日常に、「こちらの彼は気軽に電車に飛び込むことも許されない責任を背負っている」って解釈した英語コメ秀逸で好き

from what i can tell about this mv, it shows someone with a relatively "normal" repetitive life. it's safe, constant, and structured. but at some point, they realize they hate it. and when they inevitably jump in front of the train, it seems to reveal that this was all some kind of dream. i like to think the human character is suffering with a form of social anxiety or depression, so their way of coping had been to stay in their room and dream of a world where everything was simple and repetitive and unsurprising. no risk, but no change. but eventually, they feel a pull to escape it because they realize they can do nothing to change their life in this world where they feel just as exhausted and bad. they realize that staying in their comfort zone isn't helping them, and so when they go out late at night to think and the kid behind them trips, they reach out to help. when their step outside their norm is met with a negative response and no friendliness, they realize they want to leave this world. when they leave the dream and step out to see their family, they realize that the real world is much more hopeful than the world they created where they're alone, doing the same things every day. they have some kind of affect on the world and they can change their life meaningfully here, and they can work towards feeling better.

The kid that trips is his younger self rejecting/horrified of how he turns out in the future. Basically the cat man realized this repetitive cycle isn't the life that his younger self imagined living and comits suicide in the dream.

I still think the end holds a more hopeful tone. When he wakes up in his bed in the real world you van see light of a new day peering through the window while the previous times he woke up in bed there was no light because of the curtains. The smirk at the end either signifies he is happy he broke his cycle, happy that it was a dream, happy that his repetitive cycle has purpose (supporting his family), or happy that if he can't truly break his cycle that he can support his children so they don't have to go through the same thing he did.

OK those are so much better than what I was thinking. I thought the cat (him) died and reincarnated I stole the body of someone else who just passed away or something and since he was all lonely during the same pattern every day now he has something different end it was like a unbelieving smile or like one of those crazy smiles that you see in the web toons :)

My own interpretation of him waking up and seeing his family was like "where would I be without them" - with them being a factor that helps him move on with this otherwise miserable life. We never see this family in the dream world.

最後の「夢だった」みたいなのが「適切でいたい」と似てる気がする… 母らしき人、姉か妹らしき人、「ええじゃないか」の主人公と「適切でいたい」の主人公の立ち位置が一致する！母らしき人の髪型もめっちゃ似てて、エプロンの色も同じ！冷蔵庫の位置も！その前の起きた向きが「適切でいたい」の最後と「ええじゃないか」の最後の起きた時の向きが並べると向き合ってるようになってる。父から子へ夢が伝染してる感じ。次は母か！？姉か妹らしき人か！？次がどんどん楽しみ！！曲でもMVでも楽しませてくれるのが最高です！今回も神曲をありがとうございます！
