Many years ago, my father shot a trophy antelope in Saskatchewan, while he was gutting it, two hunters came up behind him, held him at gun point and claimed his antelope. My Grandpa came up behind them and turned the tables on them, sending them packing after some harsh words. That night, Dad's antelope was stolen off the truck while they slept in a motel. Everyone who saw it raved about how big it was, unfortunately Dad never got it back and he never got another antelope. That's a couple of great moose, well done!

Great video! I haven't seen any video that had that many Moose in it yet. I guess the Moose there are a little different than the Alaskan Moose at least the brow tines don't have a (shovel?) by them, still an impressive animal. This video it seems the Moose think they're Elk running around on a mountain instead of hanging around water and marsh areas. I think I would wait for them to come down instead of climbing for them, it's got to be tough getting that large of an animal back to the truck.
@HOTRhuntinontherock Жыл бұрын
These bulls seem to only be up here in these hills after the rut, and yes ours don't get the huge fronts, well not as often anyway, I do have one shed here that i picked up with 7 brow tings. If we had taken a bull we had a different route out planned but still, it would have been a challenge, which i enjoy. Thanks for watching!

How do you actually get all the meat out !?

It seems that you grade trophy bulls by their points instead of the outside antler spread. Why?
@deondicks54262 жыл бұрын
Stanley here in NL our moose have never been know for their huge spreads so generally most guys go by points, so for example a 20 pointer is always considered a monster! The same way a 60 inch bull no matter the points is consider a great bull. Thanks for watching
