The strap line is misleading here, Danny is referring to a Gold in Olympic football but anyone would give up a low level domestic cup medal for an individual Olympic gold in any discipline. 4year training cycle and making qualifying mark and then competing and getting gold is a massive achievement 😊

Olympics is supposed to be the pinnacle of that sport, so when you have a wc, majors etc, i don't think the sport SHOULD be in Olympics. It's also the one time every four users when I will watch table tennis or kayaking, i get enough of the big sports throughout the year. Bit to say you wouldn't want to compete, is stupid, unless for reasons like tired etc, to say you wouldnt want the madal at all. Duck off with it being lower than vharity cup, at least its a real tournament

Winning a historic gold medal, which for 80% of other sports is the pinnacle, that comes around once ever four years is the cringest thing ever, but a community shield that happens at the start of every season where the players are not even fit yet, often just showcases new signings or youth players, players don't really care if they win it or lose it, goes straight to penalties if a draw after 90 mins, and traditionally it used to be shared after a draw, is not? @@ian_r125

The Community Shield means nothing. A glorified friendly to get the taste buds going prior to season start. Title winners versus FA Cup winners. The pendulum is straight away swung in the Title winners favour. Coventry, Wimbledon, Wigan, Portsmouth, even Spursy have won the FA Cup.
