Just imagine the amazing lovestory of the 2 lovers trapped in separate buildings doing some window dating, writing notes to eachother with signs and throwing paper planes while painting eachother. One in one sees the other get hit so he travels over to save her but then his gets hit then they meet somehow. and um... for the ending I guess they get somewhere that will protect her from the collapse. So he puts her up high away from the flames but there's only enough room for her so they hold hands while he slowly gets cooked and suffocated instead of freezing and drowning. Then building collapse and she's inside of the safe, locker or whatever the heck and gets pulled out of the rubble saved by the firemen. Then there's a flashfoward to today where the lady is telling her daughter about how her daddy died saveing both of them while putting up the suriveing halfburnt naked panting of her on the wall Edit: didn't realize how dark the paper planes thing was when I typed this up but rereading wow lol. Would make some killer foreshadowing tho. I just liked the idea of throwing love notes to eachother

As an Italian citizen, I say sorry for this movie. A former animation teacher of mine worked in this movie when he was a trainee and he always says it was a wild experience. Edit: sadly and with so much grief, my teacher Silvano Mezzatesta passed away in October '23, he worked for Italian animation movies and tv series like Winx Club and so on.

@@peysterkids9481 Except it's not, because the OP is right - they're not throwing the water OUT of the ship....they're throwing it AT the ship and it's all splashing back onto the deck. They're throwing the water back into the water, but not the water of the ocean....the water currently IN the ship. The obvious intention is that they're supposed to be throwing the water out of portholes or something, but the animation is so horrendous that even scenes that should be realistically harrowing are just ridiculous.

I’m sure it was constructed in the same way AI works: choosing a plot structure and plugging elements taken from existing works into the blank spots. So they take Titanic’s general plot beats, then they just fill in all the subplots with existing animated characters; Cinderella and her stepfamily, the animals of American Tail, Speedy Gonzales, etc, the girl has red hair and is looking for her family like Anastasia, etc It’s as original as anything AI can make, which is to say it’s a new order and combination of these things you’ve already seen but the actual creative process wasn’t engaged in at all

When I was a kid, they used to sell movies like that at flea markets and later dollar stores. I think interest in them surged as the internet began showcasing them. There was always some knock-off or unrelated tie-in to something popular at the time.
