Nemesis Reloaded is seriously less cringe than the first go around but it's weird seeing a story where there's no obstacles to overcome. The Wanted connection really saves it from being meh.

@@jamariobrown-tolliver8163 american jesus was surprisingly good, but yeah he's just trying to be edgy by disguising his comics as "deconstruction" of superheroes, but it doesnt go in any depth or anything. people are just politically incorrect, cruel and jerks for no reason. as a teenager i liked his work but i cant read any of it (american jesus was fine i guess) without cringing to the bones....

So Nemesis is an inverse of Batman where the people who killed his parents were cops instead of crooks. I honestly wasn't blown away by the twist. I thought the twist was going to be that he killed the hitchhikers as a kid and planted evidence against his parents because he wanted to see if any of the cops would become his Joker-like Nemesis.

Hey Dannymalt amazing videos and huge fan of the channel and your breakdown and reviews of comics. If I could give any recommendation I would like you to also go over different mangas like berserk, vagabond, 21 century’s boys etc especially with seinen manga due to how I fell they are more adult and can gravitate torwards your audience better.

Great show! Awesome Millar twist. Wondering if Millar came up with hit himself or he had help. This is very cool. I remember reading Nemesis’s first series and found it very unbelievable. Then watch your video on it and you confirmed my thoughts. Watched your Wanted video and such a Millar twist. What a long build up. Thank you for your content. My issue with Nemesis is that he's not that interesting of a character. He's essentially just Batman without a moral code.... and batman without inhibitions, self imposed or otherwised is just a guy railroading the shit out of anyone within his sights without any real obstacle to overcome. There wasn't any real tension in this story and the most interesting part was the B-Plot tie in. I guess you could look at the character as a deconstruction of Batman insofar as being a "what if Bruce with full League of Assassins" since their backstories are otherwise the same but "meh". The story needed to have some sort of character foil or actual obstacle to overcome to add some sort of gravitas instead of the whole series being dude running victory laps on everyone around him in uninteresting ways. The crossover reveal was mildly cool I guess. Kinda feels weird to have the most appealing aspect of a story essentially being an advert for a continuation of a story you prefer otherwise.

imo the twist ending was vastly superior to the book itself, I'd give the book a 4 and the twist in the epilogue a 10/10, really hype. Btw Danny, will we get the Locke and Key comics someday?

Other then Invincible, Locke & Key was the only other series I was ever asked to take down from my channel. I covered 3 of the 6 volumes right when the TV show started. That was back when I didn't white out the text in the bubbles, so maybe that was a factor. But I will not be revisiting it.

It is funny that Mark Millar said creators of BvS film should be euthanized while Jorge Jimenez is one of the biggest fans of Snyder's and Cavill's Superman who still didn't accept recent not-hiring of Cavill by gunn. Also yeah, it is cool twist, definitely inspired by the great M Night.
