When I was in my early teens I was obsessed with scratching my rectum. I eventually began to miss the sensation of peeling, so I decided to shave around my anus. Shaving it made it more itchy! Sadly, for some reason my shit wouldn't come off in a single layer. That's when I decided to take some Elmer's glue and lightly apply it around my rectum and let it dry. My god! The feeling was 10,000 times better than before! Not to mention that my anus was super smooth after peeling! The worst day of my life happened three years ago today. While I was out shopping my next door neighbors house caught fire and engulfed my house with it. My beautiful collection went up in smoke.

Evildandalo As far as I know, he only records in actual studios. I remember an interview he gave years ago complaining that he had more material to record, but he wasn’t willing (back then) to record “in someone’s basement”. Maybe that’s changed, but I don’t see him becoming a DAW guy this late in life, to mix and master his own record. Now, it wouldn’t surprise me if he showed up to a recording studio with something like an Alesis QS88 synth from 1997, dialed up its stock “Grand Piano” preset, plugged it directly into the studio board and never gave the tone a second thought. Same with the guitar stuff. I can’t see GD and Tommy Victor picking you vintage Gretsch and Fender guitars, sound checking a dozen old Fender amps and trying to nail a vintage tone. I’m guessing they just grabbed their usual guitars and amps for the Danzig show, started cutting tracks. I’m listening to the record right now. It’s not as bad as I expected from Fantano’s review, but it’s definitely lazy. I can’t imagine GD and crew spending more than 2-3 days on this.

Danzig sounds like he's in the middle of a yawn throughout the entire thing. The reverb is all fucked up, ugly, and mismatched too. The delay in Baby Let's Play House reminded me of that Sabbath song FX lol. Like, the production is just straight garbage. All the instruments are sloppy af, like, the guitars miss notes, at times everyone sounds like they're just barely on rhythm, it's so weird coming from professional musicians. Not to mention the ridiculously quiet yet browned out guitars, it sounds like your neighbor is practicing some Van Halen tune for the first time. And the pianos are straight trash, and as basic as they get. It's like when you just learned the chords and you're trying to make sure if they're right, before you add any variety. Also for some reason some songs are transposed down, like Fever for example. Maybe it was to make it more comfortable for Danzig's voice? But he sings higher notes in other songs and it's not like he sounds super comfortable where they are now either. But transposing them down makes them duller. And yeah, Anthony is not exaggerating, he misses notes all the time. It's embarrassing. And he sounds like Captain fucking Beefheart in When it Rains it Really Pours.

TY... I liked what I heard, so far, on this LP and plan on buying it on vinyl... But.. I'm gonna love pointing out the info I just got from you..and again will look like the smartest guy in the room! I havent heard all of it yet. came here cuz the online record shop I hit had advertised a 45 off of this LP... I thought, from what I heard.. it was great. .. so much in fact that I plan on buying the LP now instead of just the 45... It's Danzig's interpretation of Elvis's music... it's called "Fan appreciation" Like Johnny Cash doing "Hurt".. CLASSIC!!! I plan on buying the LP.. I dont take to much stock into critics opinions...(IT'S THEIR OPINION) He did say he was a huge Misfits Fan... maybe he wanted Danzig to play Elvis like his old band days way.... But when I first heard he was doing this.. I jumped on board... and plan on checking it out myself.. My brother crucified Disturbed for doing "The Sound of Silence".. he thought it was Blasphemy. ... I thought it was the cover of the year!!! But... when I was younger. I thought the same for anyone trying to cover a Beatles song.... lol But Covers mean so much more today than the did years ago.. it's an honor today... and I love hearing people's renditions of other musicians music.
