You've made my day. I think you've solved the derailing-on-the-points problem. If Lydham Manor derails going forwards in one direction, simply put her on to the opposite track and let her run smokebox first in the other. Here's another KZfaqr who has followed in my Manor footsteps. Loved seeing the real preserved Dinmore Manor at the end, love it. I love the Manor Class, my favourite Great Western tender engine in general, sharp bark, shrill Swindon whistle, it's music to my ears. I'm a Great Western Girl, because God's Wonderful Railway is my favourite Big Four Railway Company. Thankyou so much for this, you did the right thing in purchasing Dapol Lydham Manor, make no mistake.

They really should be picking up these issues during testing.

The pony truck issue with the 61 xx is a simple fix ..! The slot in which the axle sits in needs to be filed out slightly enabling the wheels to sit deeper in the axle box ..! You could also fit a stay alive for double protection which is slightly more involved but doable . I have esu sound decoders fitted to all my dapol locos with no issues as yet .

Hey ho Accurascale . I've just received your B.R. Torquay Manor. Good news,,,,,it's up there with the best Hornby and Bachmann state of the art offering. But surely not bad news ! I bought mine with sound , and it's barely a whisper ! Has anybody else had the same problem. More than likely a duff speaker.

What points does the manufacturer say are the minimum radius? I would have thought that set rack code 100 points would be too crude on back to back and tight for many locomotives though you are clearly getting away with it with some.

Brilliant video bud! Dapol have seemed to be hit and miss with some aspects, weird with the mogul decoder? As for the prairie, it seems to have been an issue across the board with the pony truck, there are suggestions to fix the issue but still best to contact Dapol. Bit of a disappointment on the pointwork :/ Considering it should be good for 2nd radius curves, I would expect it to be fine. I'm after all 3 of those models from Dapol and seeing these videos has been great for the research! Cheers.

Buenas tardes, al margen de que la locomotora este limitada para ciertos radios de giro y de desvios para mi gusto esos desvios son muy chicos, deberia reemplazarlos por otros un poco mas largos y asi no tener mas problemas con ninguna locomotora.
