@@realMuseology They talk about him briefly in the video, but it's a villain who has something to do with paint (I think he paints his victims or something, I don't know, I'm not really familiar with the character), and supposedly he's going to be a villain in Born Again.

If Muse is going to be one of the villains, they'd better do the story justice, and Matt had better get a sidekick. It wasn't a huge story arc, but Muse was probably the darkest hour of DD's comic run so far, so hopefully they stay true enough to the source material and the Netflix series' dark theme to pull off an absolute... blinder...

5:05 You just reiterated that it has broadened its meaning through popular imprecise use. Nepos means nephew. The original/narrow definition refers just to relatives. Friends are cronyism, although that is more about deals than hiring/promoting. And as long as you're qualified, and it isn't anything in the public interest (including the government, infrastructure, and publicly traded companies), there's nothing wrong with either.

Nepotism doesn't mean they're not qualified, it means that they got where they are because someone made things easier for them. The friend would be qualified but it'd be nepotism because the fact that they're friends with you make you pick them over other people who could be equally or more qualified

As a POC who is struggling immensely to find a job I’m happy in - I disagree that just because your friend is qualified for a role means they’re the best qualified. I have years of experience and a diverse skillset but because I’m poc with no connections, I am always losing to peoples friends. So yes, it is nepotism. Love the channel but that was disappointing to hear.

If the characters in any story don't have babies because of some element of the story, they might as well stop fighting and just die off. The idea of characters having babies in bleak situations symbolizes hope and gives the main characters the fortitude to fight. Horribly bad take. You remove 90% of the conflict by the main characters essentially giving up by not continuing their species. Literally no future.
