The point he makes at 17:17 should be expounded on. It is true and sad. Even the President preaches how we in diaspora should return and build the country but you find so many barriers to making that transition and often, it's easier to stay put. It should be the other way around! Make are easy and as attractive as possible to get Kenyans to relocate. In fact, the govt should bend over backwards to reverse the brain-drain that has been in effect since the late 90's.

Very good and realistic content about Philadelphia, work, high cost of living, and beauty of Philadelphia's history and many great touristic qualities. Keep up the good work, and it's great that you use English! Most African Vblogers lose lots of international audience by using, or mixing their African language with English, or starting good videos in English and switching to their African language throughout presentation. Some write title of video in English but video is entirely in their language, and they get very few followers who understand both their African and English language.

A lot of people wonna shit on us living in the diaspora, the truth is most of us have better lives that we could ever have in kenya but to each is own. Investing in kenya is a good idea but you have to have the right people kwa ground, sio greedy relatives. I've lived in Boston for 17yrs now with no regrets, i visit kenya every 2 yrs, i would love to go back maybe part time in the winter but the jury is still out on that anyway time will tell. Finally, if you are successful in Kenya stay there, if you are looking to try the states welcome.

This is a very "local" thinking. Teaching in America is very lucrative career. An average teacher's salary is Ksh 550,000/= per month. A tour guide in USA earns about Ksh 250,000 - 375,000/- per month. Which would you pick?
@miirobrightvisions
@miirobrightvisions 3 жыл бұрын
@@mozvidz you must drink cool aid 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣in pennsylvania, where philadelphia is, teachers don't make crap. I can say so cause it takes me 1 hr to drive to Philadelphia. They have Africans so messed up thinking people grab money off trees, I don't blame you, I used to have the same mindset when I was living in Africa.
@mozvidz
@mozvidz 3 жыл бұрын
@@miirobrightvisions Thanks John, for assuming I'm illiterate and you're smarter because you're in the USA. But I forgive you for that, since you don't know me. Back to the point, I was giving the National salary average, and we were comparing careers not amount of money, FOCUS John! So to give you FACTS specific for Pennysylvania, teachers still earn more than tour guides. While they make about $45,000per annum (which is Ksh 412,500 per month), tour guides make about $34,262pa (which is about Ksh 315,000pm). So teachers are still winning. Now unless you have actual factual figures, please don't reply to this with that condescending tone again.

“America is not Bed of Roses.” I disagree. It is. America is a very nice country. It is the most powerful country on earth, then a bed of roses. Dollar rules the world. A melting pot of the world. A country that offer green cards to all human beings around the world. A very beautiful country. A country where Kenyans send over $ 2 billion to help their fellow countrymen. A country where Kenyans own trucks and do more than three jobs. A country leading with movies production in the world. The list is endless........Live long America the land of milk and honey.
