I’m with you girlfriend. My dad just passed away this last December so when I get married, I won’t be able to have my dad walk me down. I do believe that our loved ones are looking down on us and cheering us on! Hang in there! You got this!

Follow-up was posted a year ago here on the SYTTD youtube page under "The Perfect Dress for Alex's 1960's Art Deco Style Wedding." She looked gorgeous on her wedding day! What an incredible venue, as well!

I know how you feel my dad died 2019 and now here I’m getting married May 2024, I want my dad and he’s gone, but the sliver lining to this story is I get a amazingly handsome generous husband that I know my dad would have approved because my mom loves him.

This is such a wonderful bride. I hope that she gets therapy at some point. She has all of these little 'low self-esteem' flags, which is such a shame since she seems like such an awesome human being. I hope she finds someone who can help her see the person that she is and realize that that is a person more than worthy of love, both by herself and by others. I am glad, however, that she has her friend in her corner. The friend seems like a real keeper and someone who is so supportive of this bride.

I know how she feels, i lost my dad at 13. He never got to see my prom dress, he never saw me get engaged and now im so close to delivering my daughter but he will never meet her. It hurts thinking about the things he didnt get to see 🩷🥺
