Hi! This is my first speedbuild in The Sims so it's a little chaotic, but I hope you like it :) I used a lot of CC, mostly Harrie's and Felixandre's, but let me know if I should post a list of all the CC featured in this build!

This is the most beautiful build I have ever seen. It’s so detailed and the amount of effort and time that has gone into this Manor House is immense! It’s so beautiful and exacting to my tastes that if I had the money, I would charge an architect to build it. This is the home that I want to live in. By the Gods, I hope you’re an architect and/or an interior designer/decorator/stylist because you have found your calling, my friend. You would make millions as an architect.

It is actually a home! It’s called the mapperton manor and there’s currently a couple living there:) but they allow visits for wedding receptions

This manor just gives vibes from an old and noble British mansion! I'm just sad that we don't have the tray files. I can't dowload from the gallery. Anyway, this might be the best one from the style I have seen! For the first one, I'm really impressed! You got it on point!

I’m still very new to this whole youtube thing and I’ve been preoccupied with some real life stuff lately :( so I haven’t really been able to work everything out. Once I get some time off, I’ll get my tray files organized and uploaded somewhere :)

I think the inspiration for this build was Mapperton House in Dorset. It's a beautiful old manor house in real life as well.

Yes it was, thank you so much, I didnt even know it had a name!My only refrence for this build was a very low quality picture I found on pinterest when searching for inspiration, I think it was used as a cover picture for some Harry Potter fanfiction :D Wish I knew what it was called back when I started building, because I couldn’t find any other pictures of it. I love the build!!! The amount of detail and how true it is to the aesthetic...As someone who is a big fan of dark academia , this is amazing! I love that it's maxis match too! A lot of aesthetic builds are alpha and don't really fit in my game You have a new subscriber!

Oh wow thank you! I love the show! Downton abbey was actually a source of inspiration for this build! I know it looks nothing like downton but I just imagined a similar family living there.

I have never loved something as much as this build. This build makes me want to play the sims 4 again. I'm more of a sims 3 fan but your build makes sims 4 fun again to me. I absolutely love your build. I want to be there however as I was watching I actually felt like I was there. I love the music choice as well it puts it all together. Oh wow thank you! I don’t even know what to say, I am truly honored to have such a kind viewer ❤️ The transition from the sims 3 to sims 4 wasn’t easy for me either, I think that I bought the game when it came out, played for a bit and then lost interest completely for like three years or so. There was so little content to play with!! But all the wonderful CC creators made me fall in love with the franchise again, I’m amazed at how some of the custom objects expand the possibilities of creating in the sims!

You can download it from the gallery through Google, you just need an extension for it! And after you download the build's file you move it to your tray folder and you are set! I've done it multiple times and it works really well!

That's funny. I found the same house on pinterest and there is a video on here showing it off and I recreated it in a very similar way. Didn't like the real Floorplan so I had to get creative with that. Love your version more than mine though! Edit: this is Mapperton House, owned by the Earl of Sandwhich (yes, like the food), if anyone else was curious.

Oh yeah, it's based off of an existing building! I found it on pinterest too while searching for some dark academia inspo. It was actually a cover photo of some Harry Potter fanfiction that somehow found its way under the dark academia tag :D it was really bad quality and I had no idea how to find some other pictures, but I really liked it so I made the rest of it up. But! Thanks to the comments under this video, now I know that it's called Mapperton House! I would love to know how your take on the build looks!

I've had sims builds playing on my tv non stop most of the afternoon while i work on a build and I was genuinely baffled by this at first because I built a house very similar to this and thought that it was a video that I didnt know I had posted lmao! Were you by any chance inspired by the Mapperton House? That was my inspiration and its almost the same layout haha. Very beautiful! I never finished mine, I got too overwhelmed with all of the CC and took it all out of my game for a break. Maybe I'll add it back in eventually.

That must've been trippy! Yes, the Mapperton House was my inspiration, however I had no idea that it was called that way up until a few months after posting this video, when someone asked a similar question in the comments! I only used one really bad quality reference picture of it. I found it on Pinterest when looking for anything dark academia related, and it was actually a cover art for some Harry Potter fanfiction lol. So I had no idea of what I was supposed to be searching when I tried to find some other shots of it. Even image searching failed me because of the quality. But I finally know what it's called, maybe I should try to build a more realistic take on it some day. Anyway, I would love to see your version of the build! Let me know if you ever get around to finishing it!

Hi, thank you! Yes, it is inspired by Mapperton House, however I only learned that name about a month ago when someone else left a comment asking if it was my inspiration. I found just one picture from the front when searching for dark academia buildings on pinterest, and I’m pretty sure it was used for a cover of a Harry Potter fanfiction in Russian :D, so the name of the real life building wasn’t even mentioned in that post. I tried reverse image searching for more info on the building but it didn’t work. I kinda wish I knew what it was called back then, maybe it would be easier to plan everything, but I am happy with the way it turned out. I would love to see your Mapperton House build!

Hello, what kind of trouble.issue did aggressivekitty and cowbuild have or do with the information? I’m really tempted to download some of their items for this and other builds but idk if its worth it or not? (I have a laptop specifically for this game only i dont really do much personal stuff on here)

Hi! I didn’t really follow the full story but it was enough for me to stop recommending these creators, just to be safe. There allegedly were issues with some creators doxxing their patrons as an attempt to put an end to people releasing their CC for free on reddit. The Sims Community had a whole article on it simscommunity.info/2022/04/18/the-disturbing-story-of-doxxing-within-the-custom-content-community/ I stopped using their content after that info came out. I’m not deciding on whether they did that or not, I’m just not comfortable recommending them anymore, even though obviously anyone downloading anything from the internet is doing so at their own risk. Also, I’m already Felixandre’s patron and using even more paid CC would mean that my builds would be less available for viewers who would want to download them. This was my first video ever and I wasn’t really thinking about the amount of CC that I featured in it :D Anyway, this was a few weeks ago and a lot of CC creators were under the radar for a while because of it. At this point I don’t think that anyone would want anything like this happening again, so I guess that it’s safer now, but don’t take my word for it :D If you’re interested in downloading their stuff I would suggest that you read up on the story a little bit and just make an informed decision yourself. I absolutely love this build but after I placed it down and move my sims in it never loads in just stuck on the loading screen can access it through build mode just gutted as its beautiful 😍

Oh I’m sorry :( I did play with a few sims in it for a little bit, so I know it worked initially. Maybe it’s because there’s so many objects in it. I don’t really know how to solve that issue and I’m sorry, but I’m glad you like it. That’s the thing with my builds - I try to make them as detailed as possible but I probably make them unplayable in the process lol

@@saeryal I don't have all the cc but I do have plenty to use to replace it so I placed it unfurnished and I hadn't added much to it before moving my sims in but it just stayed on the loading screen but I have followed you so I can see all your builds I'm a big fan of mansions and yours just fit the look I'm after ❤
