Dark Age Of Camelot is a classic PVP MMORPG that I'm sure many of you have fond nostalgic memories of, this game was the pinoeer of the GVG/Realm Vs Realm MMO subgenre and back in 2001 when the game first released it was massively popular, exploding to 250,000 subscribers for a while shortly after release, to this day I don't think there's been a single PVP only MMO to have reached the same numbers as Dark Age Of Camelot back in the day and I still see people reminisce about the games glory days in KZfaq comment sections whenever the topic of MMO PVP is brought up, In this video we're going to check in on Dark Age Of Camelot today, see if anyone's still playing and see how the game's looking now by todays standards.
What are your memories with Dark Age Of Camelot? like me in wishing we had a modern version of this game or Camelot Unchained could actually release and be the successor it's supposed to be? let me know in the comments below!

--Dark Age Of Camelot MMORPG Wiki Description--
Dark Age of Camelot is a 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing game released in October 2001 in North America and in January 2002 in Europe. The game combines Arthurian lore, Norse mythology, and Irish Celtic legends with high fantasy. It is set in the period after King Arthur's death, when his kingdom has split into three realms which are in a constant state of war with each other. Dark Age of Camelot includes both player versus environment (PvE) and realm versus realm (RvR) combat.
Developed by Mythic Entertainment, the game is in large part an adaptation of a previous text-based game called Darkness Falls: The Crusade (1999). On February 5, 2014, it was announced that development of Dark Age of Camelot would be transferred from Mythic Entertainment to Broadsword Online Games, a newly established studio, which also subsequently took over development of Mythic's other MMO game, Ultima Online. Mythic was shut down shortly thereafter, on May 29, 2014.

The 3 factions all had different classes. All 3 factions had its own PvE zones. This really gave you an identity that the current MMO's don't really have with their copy/past faction classes. You learned to hate class "x" in PvP as it was not part of your "tribe". If you did switch factions, the replay value was amazing with whole new zones to explore and classes to interact with. It really felt like 3 MMO's in 1.

Something interesting about DAoC was that it had open dungeons that weren't instanced, so you would just go in and look for a party, or wait at the entrance to group with people. It made the game really immersive and socially interactive. You also had to sit down to heal your health and stamina every so often, which gave you time to just chat with the people you were with. I feel like modern MMO's are having the immersion exchanged for convenience with group finder and instances, as well as health/mana pools that never run out. This leads to non-stop grinding/questing which can be very exhausting, rather than enjoyable and relaxing. All systems have their flaws, but I feel like we are moving further and further away from MMO's being massively multiplayer, where they make you feel like you're in another world with other people.

Darkness Falls was an amazing dungeon since you could fight to the end then back up towards one of the other realm's entrances to PvP. Probably the only game where nearly everyone was ready to defend unless they were on a raid then the whole server would jump in to fight.

Dark Age of Camelot (DAOC) was one of the best mmos ever. No other game after it did the frontier and the open PvP with zergs. It was a great time. You can run away you just need to Sprint, the distance between you and the mob is what causes the de-aggro. Also in terms of mechanics DAoC is pretty advanced. Each of those "skills" you used are called Styles and they have Growth rates, which determine the damage, but also the accuracy of the move, or moves used against you. Styles consume Endurance which is also what is used to Sprint. Something else to point out is that as a Mercenary you need to train in the main weapon damage type Crush, Slash or Thrust and then train in Dual Wield. Base weapon damage determines the damage range of your main hand and off-hand weapons whereas the Dual Wield spec determines the accuracy and frequency you swing the off-hand weapon. Spellcasters worked similarly, you has a Base and Spec line, if you did not Spec into a spell school your Base damage spells would have a ton of variance. The spell might deal 1-100 damage but if you Spec 25 into the spell line it would deal 50-100, etc... It is sad, but I agree I do not think Camelot Unchained will ever release. They kept adding and promising more and more and ultimately they lost their direction. An updated, refreshed DAoC would be wonderful, but I do not think it would come and Camelot Unchained ultimately isn't DAoC either

Aahh a veteran. I was only 7 when I played DAoC but I managed to get a hero and vampiir too 50. Actually I soloed instances with the vampiir because of his self healing abilities. And when u ran instances alone it gave you more exp per kill so even though they were higher level and also hard. It made it worth it to grind out. Which ended up actually being fairly easy even at 7 years old.

DAOC was truly special and will be missed, Played for about ten years starting at launch and I have so many great memories of it. Still remember my first relic raid against Hibernia as a midgardian on igraine. The respect people had for solos or 8v8s and even their enemies from the other realms truly showed how amazing this game's community was, no MMO has filled the hole this game has left behind. god I love RVR instead of PVP as a highlight, the highlight of my 30 odd year gaming career was still getting up at 3am NZ time and killed like 100 people with my Troll Shaman on Defence and getting a screen full of DM's asking how, playing on 56k modem with 200 ping to the US and it was still playable, 8 v 8 or 8 v 24 open world PVP with my Spiritmaster bomb. The only real downside was that dying was such a painful experience it did create quite a bit of elitism, wasnt a problem if you had an elite group but yeah. I have also played it years before WoW was released. I particularly remember, that (at that time) it did not have a map. If you knew the hidden key combination, you could bring out a compass:). All three realms had 2 relics. One gives 10% extra damage for melee and the other one 10% extra damage to ranged characters (or something like that, it has been ~20 years). You could set up massive raids to steal each other relics. Also, every realm had 7 keeps or castles and the realm that controlled the most had the access to an awesome dungeon. The whole realm (both PvE and PvP players) were motivated to work together to get the relics and hold the most keeps. Several big guilds were working together to get things done. I do remember, that on a random weekday morning like 6 AM we got together 200+ people to steal a relic:). We had manage something on that scale and we also had to keep it secret from the enemy realms, because they had spies... In DAoC, the PvP server meant, that you can attack people from the same realm/faction as yourself... That is something that a today's MMO player cannot even imagine.... Also, this game has three factions, as you could see from this video. It happened fairly often, that you fought with someone and the third realm reaped the battlefield. Not exactly fair, but actually a lot more fun than a 2 realm based game. The large scale PvP system was awesome. It was a ton of fun. I am not denying that I am nostalgic, but out of all the MMOs, that I have played, this is the one, that I have the most fond memories of.

This is exactly how I remember my experience. I remember waking up at 4am to meet the realms giant raid to capture the relics, because we knew that they would be asleep and their realm were double our size in terms of numbers. We did this often and also had our own spies. Truly a wonderful experience that I wished modern MMO's can capture. For instance, I wished a game like New World would have a better PVP system, really lean in on the castle siege aspect. But we just have the portal in and out. and instant respawn in the castle, it just falls flat. Sadly, I always compare them to DAoC in terms of PVP.

You have a 'sprint' skill. You have to create enough distance from an enemy for it to disengage or it will chase you across the entire world. You can run to a guard who will kill it as well. Back in the day this was used to great effect to lure powerful enemies to noob zones, or world bosses to active sieges for absolute chaos. Your combat skills don't have cooldowns. If you used any techniques that did, they would show in the UI. It's always fun to see people who never played an ancient mmo, try to play an ancient mmo :D Since this is a PVP game, trying to find people in pve zones is going to be difficult. Pretty much everyone has a set of max level character. You need to go to pvp zones to find players.

This game was my childhood. I played it throughout growing up back when it only had one expansion out. Life would happen and id be forced to stop, then years later id start back up. When I was older I was a raid leader and guild leader. Even found a bug that allowed us to instantly kill ML10 raid bosses. I LOVE this game... but there really just hits a point where you're doing the same thing over and over and you know at that point the game is done. You meet people and watch them leave constantly. Ill always love it, and when it got a Free to play option I thought id always keep it downloaded, but just didnt. So much time spent, just dont feel like theres more to spend. But god there is just no game now that has classes like this. Love Minstrel, Bonedancer, Thane, Animist, Thaumaturge. AH Damn the feels.

Daoc was one of the best games i had ever played. I had played for many years and made a lot of friends from all over the world, and the game made you feel like you were a family with all the different Guilds. The RvR was amazing and the raids will forever hold exciting memories! I remember going to a town and giving 1 plat to a beginning player so he or she could get started! I used to create armor and enchant armor for players it was so much fun!

Ohhh what memories Re coming up with this game. Ve playing it for 13 years n im still in connection with a few ppl from that time. Really it still has the best combat System of pvp wise. Not 1 mmo out there gets near its realism, specially its CC System and its indebt grp play and interaction with grp members. Its still a masterpiece of a game n shame that not many ppl of that young generation had a chance to play it on Daoc's prime. Soloing, duoing, 8t man groups n some 500+ people fights for a castle with all 3 realms. That memories...

my first mmo, started playing in 2001 in beta. still playing on and off at least once a year. about the cons: there is de-aggro, you just need to sprint and that leads to UI is a mess. yes it is. there are UI mods and they are basically mandatory, but still a new player would need 100% help from a vet player to understand how it works. same for combat. skills don't work as other mmos, here they are all positionals and follow-ups. also casters can't cast if attacked/interrupted, i would have liked you to try that PepeLaugh rvr at max lvl there is a lot of action for 1v1 and zerg everyday both EU and NA primetimes (we are talking around 200 ppl zerg). they are going to finally launch a classic server this summer, that would be a perfect time for a new player to join. there are also freeshards. phoenix was the last big one with thousand of players, atlas is going to be the next opening really soon.

I played this growing up, i rememeber my father getting internet installed back 2001 so we could play this game, and it was indeed addicting back then, and graphic was insane for the time Tho the unique classes, sounds, history and map of each realm really give it a "whole feel" and identity to your faction, i feel games lack today. interms of your abilties, you should read them as they have chains, usage after block or parry and alike, so its about using right abilties on your next attack. it doesnt explain very well, but acutally pretty immersive again for 2001, I still hope they would overhaul DAoC UI and graphics and rerelease it, the game was really game breaking for its time and introduced many elements to MMORPG we see today,

Thanks for visiting one of my favourite games ever! You really didn't get a chance to see where the populations were (mostly in RvR end game) and you missed a lot of classes that aren't seen with the free account. I'd recommend trying out the freeshard on Celestius where there is a LOT of people there as well. You also didn't get the chance to try out the dragon raids or the other Shrouded Isles raids or any of the Trials of Atlantis content that was really fun to do! You also didn't get a chance to hit up the housing area where you could explore the player housing zone which was also really good for its time! To this day I have yet to find a game that was as fun to PvP in as this game. Running around with 8man groups and fighting zergs of people was fantastic. Sieges and relic raids were such great times and Darkness Falls was a blast, especially if you got locked in with enemy realms!

That was my first and biggest gaming-love ever! Love you, for (finally :D ) covering it. So sad, that no predessesor nor any game close to it came out yet. The combat was much more fun, especially for casters. Also the healer class was really good made. Despite having so much/deep PvP / RvR, the PvE content still was more than most modern MMOs. There were like 200-400 men raids. And then there were the Atlantis challenges with were really unique. Also it had unterwater content. Mark Jacobs was also behind Warhammer Online, which felt kind of like DAoC but still unique and really great. It's incredibly sad, that he was not able to release a game ever since. Am not to deep into what happend, but bought and tried Camelot Unchained, but it really felt meh (like 2 years ago - not sure how it is now). Just a DAoC-like game with good UI, inventory, modern combat and especially grafics, and I would no life it right away.

Like: Classes being SO different from one another. Each realm being basically an ENTIRELY different game in a game (since they all had different areas and quest lines and group compositions, you'd have a different experience in each), awesome first expansion with Shrouded Isles, decent memorable music, very cool and interesting combat mechanic ideas especially for melee with the positionals (still haven't seen another game do anything similar which is nuts), RVR dungeons + RVR frontiers that gave a "risk versus reward" style of gameplay -- you could hunt there and the entire time be open to RVR happening while you would be killing monsters (another idea I think modern games should look into to encourage PVP/RVR happening), crafting system was straightforward and helpful AND you could salvage any random drops you'd get from enemies if you leveled up crafting sufficiently high enough, had player housing ahead of many games doing it Dislike: Some classes were more powerful and needed then others - there was definitely some "class bloat" and some classes never would get groups, PBAOE groups dominating EVERYTHING when it came to PVE, hard interrupts for casters (which forced the caster classes to be incredibly powerful in the RVR/PVP when played well and supported), lack of appreciable quest lines and dungeons -- there were a few quests with nice rewards but they were few and far between and each realm only had a handful of dungeons and I wish there was more, no auction house (never been a fan of the housing explorer the game did have for searching for buyable loot from players) Overall I still consider it my favorite all-time MMO.

DAoC was amazing and as a young teenager the game and its community I spent so much time with probably shaped my personality a fair bit. At the time having this huge, interactive world with its great lore and being filled with other players was amazing, and only became better when you entered the RvR zones where you never knew when the enemy would show up. The suspense and excitement I felt back then is something I still look back to. Obviously the game doesn't hold up very well anymore today, the downtimes and travel times were massive back then, and the combat system is completely dated. The RvR system has inspired quite a few newer MMOs by now, but somehow none of them got it quite right (some coming closer than others).

To this date DAoC has my best memories of PvP and RvR of any game ever released. The strategy and coordination required to steal and enemy relic was always a massive undertaking. Some of my best online gaming friends were from DAoC and we still stay in contact and play games together to this day. Game was truly ahead of it's time. I understand you didn't want to invest too much time in the game but some of the best parts are after you start crafting master pieces and customize your gear to max all your stats. One of the most fun parts of the game for me were battle grounds where you could twink out your characters in the lower lvl's and turn off exp gain to keep them in that battle ground.

Once the game started dying the PvP 8 man guilds got desperate enough that I ran with one for a few weeks and had a blast. When WoW came along I just saw a game that had poorer graphics, two realms (so no balance possible in PvP), and almost all the same design decisions otherwise, so just skipped it. Two things led to the dominance of WoW, Marketing and running on low spec Computers (I spent a lot getting my computer to run DAoC in max graphics in those days!

I've been playing this game on and off since launch. This, by far, has been my all time favorite mmo. There's soo much you didn't get to check out just in classes and races alone. Unfortunately, you would have to get a sub to be able to play all races/classes and if I remember right, you can only own a home if you sub. You really need a vet player to show you around to really appreciate the game. I'd gladly volunteer :). My main realm is Hibernia but I have a max toon in every class in the game, which by now I would assume most long time players would as well. It used to be a long journey to max lvl and gearing up. Due to the lack of starting players, they have streamlined the lvling so people can get to end game quickly. Heck, I could now lvl a toon from 1 to 50 in 9 hrs, quite sad really. You just rush past all the great times in pve. There is still need to template your toons for rvr but you get a really decent set of gear once you hit lvl 50. There are still large rvr fights on retail to this day. I honestly didnt rvr a lot in frontiers, I was more of a pve player. But , of course, I did rvr, just never got a toon past realm rank 5 I believe. I could go on and on for pages about this game lol. Anyways, awesome to see you take a look at it. Like I said, if you ever feel like delving into the game, I'd gladly help. That's extended to anyone btw.

Another amazing thing was each realm had its own strengths. Albion had plate wearing paladins that were extremely resistant to physical damage and pierce/slash. Midgard had berserkers that dual wield axes and could turn into a bear to rage on people for 20 sec. Hibernia had amazing casters and pet classes. Healers in this game we're also the main source of cc . You had group heals, long cast st heals and insta heals. As well as aoe sleep spells or stuns, roots etc. Each realm had a form of stealther, one melee on ranged. Albion scouts had the longest range of any bow class but Midgard hunters got a beast companion. Melee attacks had positional requirements, long chained combos and status effects for pulling them off perfectly. Public dungeons and realm controlled territories that were constantly being fought over for realm points and realm perks. Your shield, and cloak could be emblazoned w your guilds crest and all armor was able to be dyed w expensive and rare colors. Siege machines and ballistas, catapults and rams, tower defense and keep doors that could be repaired w proper mats and crafter skill. The world was vast and you weren't" the chosen one". You were just another person. Equal to all. Important within your guild, and your realm , and every man mattered. A team of 8 could take out twice or three times as many with strategy and cooperation. Skill was king. This will forever be the greatest MMO I've ever played. I hope something will come out that can hold its own beside DAoC within my lifetime.

Did a search for my old character, and you can still find it which was surprising. I had a lvl 50 Norse Thane Realm Rank 7L9 ML10 (too many stats to remember) on the old Pellinor server. As everyone I knew began leaving, I found no real reason to stay. Good memories though. A midnight relic raid where we didn't even keep the relic - we dumped the Albion relic in Hibernia and mooned it. The one time I got to lead a keep raid (which having played a thane was unheard of). Then of course being part of an 8 man team going around the frontiers. I would return if only to just look around, but I don't want to start over, so I'll just keep my memories, and a few hundred screenshots.

DAoC melee abilities (styles) are an attack added to your next auto-attack swing.. styles also have follow-up styles and positioning etc.. So even though it sounds dull with +dmg on next swing it adds depths in other ways since you have to pay attention to your combat log to see if your styles comes through so you can follow up etc. Regarding de-aggro it only happen if you use flee ability (Sprint) to get away.

One of my favorites of all time. This, Planetside 1, and Eve Online. The early 2000s were great. DAoC was a 10000 hour game for me. Made a few videos myself! Literally nothing ever, and maybe never will be like that again for me. When you have good netcode, gameplay, and end game....These 3 things together will do that. There is a freeshard scene for DAoC that attracts tens of thousands of players, but usually the populations falls off after a few months due to how the servers are run by the admins of them. The next one is called Atlas Freeshard, a classic ruleset one(widely popular if run well), launching later this year. Give this one a look on their discord! There will be a ton of people, sometimes these freeshards on launch surpass a live server when it was in it's prime in the old days due to technical advancements. Phoenix, another classic freeshard, had 4000+ online at once in 2019 when it launched, way more then live ever had at one time. It was pretty damn cool. But then the admins wanted to play god, and now it no longer exists. So on to the next one :)

Man, I still remember sneaking down into my fathers office to play this game (only PC in the house with internet). This was back when I lived in Alaska, the room wasn't insulated so I would play while wrapped up in a blanket. It was also next to my parents room, so I had to turn the volume down very low so I can go out on my dwarf thane and explore Midgard (later switched to Hibernia).

I played this from 2001-2007 when WAR online was released. Played that for a year. I revisited both on player run servers. A year on the DAOC Phoenix server I had a total BLAST reliving the glory days of old with tons of large scale pvp and ran with a really elite tank group as well. Then I played WAR online on the Return of Reckoning server after watching your video. Man I LOVED that server and that version of the game. Ran with one of the top destro guilds on the server and had a BiS Black Ork 1H and 2H. It was truly glorious! Then I moved to Crowfall and shot called for the top guild in the game. My experiences in WAR and DOAC served me well. Classics!!

The aggro range thing was common back in the early days of MMORPGs. Except -- well, you had to zone to break aggro. In EverQuest, you crossed an invisible zone line and it would feel like you were leaving the server. In DAoC, you had to run far enough away where you left the region -- or you entered/exited a dungeon. Basically you had to run far enough for the server the generate an entirely new set of mobs and players to display around you, or zoned into or out of a dungeon. It feels clunky at times by today's standards, but the rush for the zone line in games like EverQuest actually creates a lot of fun but stressful interactions between players. There would be times when you'd be fighting your way through a dungeon or something with your group when someone would spam, "TRAIN TO ZONE!!" and if you didn't get out of the way, there was an almost 100% chance that any mobs being dragged past your group fighting would aggro onto you because you were fighting the mobs' friends. Stressful. Funny. But... there were moments of heroism in these trains. Sometimes it'd be a slightly higher player who would jump into the mix to turn the tide of battle. Or sometimes everyone would make a desperate stand together at some choke point. Or some wizard would "memorize" and then cast a gate/evac spell for the entire group that would finish casting just before everyone started dying. I can remember rushing in to other groups as a tank to try and play secondary tank for another group, peeling off aggro to the extent that my group could handle it, and somehow pulling off a win. Or... everyone dies miserably but you just made friends because you tried to help. Some of my favorite gaming moments occurred because mobs don't snap back or path back to their original spawn point. Nobody even gives a crap if you're dying in WoW unless it's in a dungeon, at which point you're kicked if it happens more than once. Some changes only feel better. They're not always better.

My god. This game was my first MMO, besides little games like Graal Online and other stuff. I remember a mild september evening. It was like 8 p.m., a warm summerbreeze of fresh air came through my window and couldn't find out, how to attack a crab in Connla untill a player named Gnampf told me, that F5 is the combat mode..... my friends asked me, if I wanted to play outside. I pretended to be sick... :D Sad, that Camelot Unchained turned out to be a hoax :(

YOU CHECKED OUT THE WRONG SERVER MY BRU. Celestius Freeshard is where the Dark Age of Camelot action is currently. I enjoy your content but it also drives me insane when I see vids like this, and the vid will Willie did. Everyone always just does the starting zone quests and wonders where the players are and what the point is. The "game" doesn't actually start until your max level, it's a PvP game, and since it's 20+ years old none of the player base is leveling characters, they are out in the frontier PvPing. If you really want to review this game borrow a level 50 account from one of your viewers and check out the frontier. Or just make a character on the Celestius Freeshard since you can get max level and pretty much fully geared in 1 day. Or just check out my YT as it has plenty of PvP videos from over the years which will give you a much better idea of what is going on. Cheers.

At its peak, which was very early 2000s, DaOC was legendary. Hibernian Ranger. Most memorable moment was when I managed to take out 2 Midgard stealthers solo who'd been menacing our guys in Darkness Falls. But there are tons of memorable moments. I miss the CTA and seeing everyone running to assemble at the Border Keeps from all over. I miss my youthful days. I just miss being young, I'm glad my time was so much simpler and alot more fun than today's toxic vibes.

DAoC was a great experience as a first MMO. Elder Scrolls Online has a nearly identical cross faction PvP system in the form of Cyrodil. Yes, it's laggy, but so was DAoC pvp to be honest.

The thing that makes ESO's pvp useless (besides the ridiculous lag STILL in 2022) is it has no affect on the PvE game. That was the beauty of DAoC PvP - wins granted ownership to Darkness Falls which greatly helped all on the winning side to make $$$.

Did you know that Matt Firor went on to ESO as the game director? I wish Cyrodil was as good as DAoC's frontiers because I think that the 3 faction system and siege weapons are jus the way to go. I agree that pvp was laggy in DAoC, but I think that was mostly due to the technology we had.
@goofsaddggkle7351
@goofsaddggkle7351 2 жыл бұрын
@@trxe420 I did know that and its probably why Cyrodil is as good as it is. But its a game within a game. Doesnt integrate the RvR game into the overall PvE world, which is something DAoC did so well.

I tried to beta test DAoC and at the time seriously wondered if a quality developer would ever attempt a MMO. I can only assume that like Everquest, there were developers ingame posing as players/guildleaders to drag people through the content and create hype.

Just like so many others I have tons and tons of fond memories of DAoC. Played it in beta, and then on release for about 4 years. I went back to it for about a year a few years later so all in all about 5 years worth of game time. Absolutely loved the game when it came out and pretty much spent all my free time ingame playing my Thane or Skald. It was also my first MMORPG and as I played on the EU servers, it was so awesome to me to play with people from all over Europe. I still remember my first RvR experiences (beta) or the first Relic Raid, the first dragon, getting to level 50 on my first character, patrolling the Midgard frontier with our guild against those filthy albs and hibs. Being in our server's channel in IRC and bantering with the other realms players about how we got them again at alb gate in Emain Macha (or vice versa). I honestly cannot remember any toxicity like I encounter in many MMORPGs these days. DAoC really was the best MMORPG of its time and if it was managed better and perhaps gotten a little UI or engine overhaul, it could maybe have been a WoW equivalent with a few million subs 20 years later. It's sad that Mark Jacobs is a big talker but in the end doesn't really deliver anything he promises. Camelot Unchained should have been a DAoC 2 with a modern existing engine but he wasted the money and time on trying to get his own (crappy) engine created and look at where we are all those years later... almost nowhere.

You can sprint to de-aggro once you have more distance between. You have to key bind commands like /sprint and /follow ... etc to a button. I used to have all max level chars on all factions between 2 accounts. Was the server's 2nd richest player at 60 plat then from trading glowie weapons and rare materials for level high armor crafting and player estate trading. I even created my customised Celtic Gold and Magma Red UI Interface skins for the game. Those were the wonderful days of MMORPG.

the thing that killed the game was when they added teleporting from keeps to keeps, which completely destroyed the rvr planning and tactics and just threw everyone instantly to the front lines for an eternal zerg vs zerg vs zerg battle

which was around the same time that wow was in beta, and wow was promising the best open world pvp, they told us there would be contested zones that you could take over for your faction. sucks that wow just got worse and worse after beta and it took us like 8 years to realize it

Played this from UK release, early 2002, until late 2003 when I moved to SWG, but later reverted back. I vividly remember the days before voice chat in games. You had to be able to communicate effectively in the chat in order to be sucessfull in groups. My command of written language vastly improved quite quickly!
