1. Remember the Devastating Wounds. 2. Remember you use the best Ld in the unit, so if there is a character, you use his Ld when doing Battleshock. 3. Remember Cover when being shot with Indirect. 4. Remember the +1 to hit when led by a character (Destroyers hit on 2+ with a character) 5. Remember your Stratagem to trigger Reanimation when losing a single model. You could've rebuilt multiple units when losing just a single model.

A shame Winters forgot that the Doomsday Ark gets Devastating Wounds on its big cannon if it stands still. He missed dealing 8 MW to the hellblasters in turn 2.

Also a shame Hellblasters didn't finished of the Doomsday Ark in turn 1 instead of wasting the firepower on the Warriors. But I agree, its always a pain to see rules are being missed ^^

Heya Winters. Regarding Hazardous, you made an error in the reading. It says "For each roll of 1, that test is failed and one model in that unit equipped with a Hazardous weapon is destroyed (selected by the controlling player), unless that model is a Character, Monster or Vehicle, in which case it suffers 3 mortal wounds instead." It didn't come into play at that moment, but worth remembering going forwards that a 1 does kill a model that isn't one of the specified exceptions.

hellblasters shoot-on-death actually does not need to target the unit that attacked them, they can choose whichever target they want.

I'm genuinely not sure if I've seen a 10th ed. SM list that didn't include a LR Reedemer lately 😅 This must be the 3rd or 4th battle report now on this channel only that features this glorious beast. Also, Azrael, Samael, and not just one, but to Predator Anihilator tanks making in appearance feels so good. I feel the nostalgia overtaking me, it is a good pain!

@@viridisxiv766 OOO ok well yeah.. hell yeah lol I don't have the words to express how with you I am on that! I came to the grimdark universe for two things.. tracks and square vehicles!!! All the hover tanks really kind of broke my heart most recently I finally found a will done conversion of a repulsor, and.. it looked bad so no hope there, a dead dream lol. I really feel like everyone would have been way happier with tracks even if it did feel like it was just a suped up pred. Tbh I think that if they had of just made Marines bigger with better armor and said Cawl just found a way to make zygotes quicker faster marine production, that would have probably went over much better.

I just lost with my necrons against DA yestarday. I was leading the whole game and suddenly at the end oath of moment mixed with good cards drawn scored over 25 points to my opponent and he won 44 to 43.

Winters, your slightly getting hazzardus wrong. its roll per gun with hazzardus that shot. so if somehting like 3 crisis suits fired 3 coocked CiBs, it would be 9 dice rolls

Hazardous destroys the model that shot if you roll a 1. It does D3 wounds if you are a character monster or vehicle.

Battleshocking the warriors in their turn with the whirlwind is actually a good idea. Turn off their ability to use that reanimations strat when you shoot a lot at them.

yeah, battleshock on an off turn isn't THAT good, but it is semi-niche. After all, Protocol of the Undying Legions is a stratagem.

What an amazing game! Nice to see a different Dark Angels list. Plus, the game showed the importance of achieving objectives. Definitely some bad rolls from the Dark Angels early,but they stormed back from it.

For Hellblaster and the bikes with plasma: Hazardous kills a modell, unless it is a monster, vehicle or character. Then they get 3 mortal wounds... P.S. I love your battle reports. You are the reason why I am back in the hobby.

Commenting before watching this, played my Necrons vs Dark Angels Deathwing list and had a great battle, it was a hard fought game with a few clutch moments where we both had to make tactical decisions, ended up around 60-30 to the Necrons (we stopped properly counting after a while) but played 5 full turns and both had a decent amount of models left on the table. This edition is so much more of a game than 9th!

I believe if you reanimate warriors close to objective with a strat, led by a character and within reanimator range you do get D3+3 D3+1 warriors back (so 2D3+4) Also how do you forget about Dev wounds on DDAs gun when stationary... It was 8 mortals on those hellblasters

It’s not how anyone is playing that strat. Winters, vanguard and Tabletop tactics are all playing this strat this way. It’s almost like they know something about how this strat is ment to be played. Totally understand that the wording is a bit off. But let’s stand on the shoulders of giants and learn from their example. :-)

How do you get to that? Necron warrior ability says d3+3 instead of d3. So best case its d3+4 (you reanimate d3+1 from strat and instead of the d3 its d3+3 so d3+3+1)

To help protocol of the sudden storm gives a necrons unit assault keyword, lokhust would have been very effective with that extra movement and killing bikes alot earlier, also when you doomsday arks sit still they have devastating wounds you had alot of 6s to wound throughout this game, good game love me some necrons

I just want to know how you did that chronomancer conversion. It looks like Canoptek spyder legs/arms but I can't tell how the body connected up with it. Getting back into the hobby myself and I'm trying to kitbash/convert every character beyond the first one of that model.

Very first shots of the battle from the Lokhurst Heavy Destroyers, and one hit was a six. That was an auto-wound, he should have got two wounds with that instead of just the one. The predator would have been dead so much faster.

Battle shock happens after all of the command phase things have been resolved, which includes point counting. Unless I am misunderstanding the rules then someone correct me please.

Objectives are scored at the end of the "command phase" within the command phase there are 2 steps, one of which is battle shock.... The end of the command phase is after battle shock tests.. it's poorly worded

Awesome game! Things looked really grim for the Dark Angels, but held their resolve and achieved victory! I still personally think the Unforgiven detachment is better and fits their lore more so, but just my opinion.

WP can´t get enough of my beloved Necrons! But everyone keeps forgetting that DDA´s that hit on sixes turn the shot into 4 MW. Its pains to see it go to waste. xD Question about the leader aura enhancement. Do you massure 6 inch from the leader model itself, or does the unit he is leader spread that aura too?
