The interaction between the Chaos Sorcerer and Eliphas reminds me of the interaction between Starscream and Megatron in Transformers

Man, O'Kais is the most chill person in the entire 40k universe, especially considering everything he's gone through between Fire Warrior and this. Trick him and his men into having to waste time and resources fighting some random Chaos guys? "That was cool, someone write that down!"

The sorcerer doesn't like Alexander telling him he sucks. If your Chaos, there's some dialogue after you kill the sorcerer where Eliphas tells him followers they can redeem themselves in the eyes of Chaos if they obey him.

I find it rather silly how so many people commenting on the dialogue between the Night Lords Sorcerer and Eliphas don't seem to be aware that the forces of Chaos are anything but united. This isn't like LotR where there's good races and bad races which are completely on one side or another. Imperials and Eldar fight, Orks fight everyone, and the forces of Chaos fight each other more than anything else. The Imperium just takes the spotlight most of the time because of how expansive it is they fight everyone. I liked the fanservice of having a Chaos schism cult in DoW, though I feel it should have been one of the warbands instead of the Night Lords legion. The NL hate every faction out there, including all the other Chaos forces out there (in that way they're similar to The Purge warband).

That Sorcerer sounds like he's being thoroughly roasted

Protip: don't try to replace Sindri Myr or attempt to outperform Eliphas in badassery. Both are sure to end in disaster.

Alexander comes off best here. Everyone else takes him as a serious threat (apart from Gorgutz) but Alexander says "lol, look how cute they are when they think they're threatening"

My own legion, the Word Bearers once worshipped the "emperor" as a god and built large monuments to better idolize him while taking our time in conquering worlds and stamp out all opposition to ensure that they didn't rebel later on. How did he reward us? By condemning both our tactics and our god worship of him! We trusted him and he betrayed that trust. Now we serve being worthy of being worshipped, namely the Chaos Gods! What I really like about the stronghold conversations is the clash of dramatically different personalities. For example, Space Marines to Tau, Orks to Eldar, Chaos to Necrons.

I don't understand what kind of trick much less what Taldeer's Warlocks did to convince a few Night Lords to camp by her base of operations... their sworn enemies right... the briefing for this also only mentions the Orks as being "catpaws" but nothing about Chaos.

this is from the eldar main base attack. the chaos grouped here isn't as large as the eldars, but they have a base of operations unlike the orks in the mission

The Eldar Stronghold mission is a unique missions since its a 4 way battle. Eldar, A Chaos splinter group, Feral Orks and the player's faction

In case you forgot, Magnus only warned him through use of Chaos Magic because the other ways of warning him were far less reliable and he wanted to be sure the emperor got the warning. As for our "exile", it is only a temporary state. Sooner or later, we shall return to Holy Terra and destroy the false emperor.

Temporary can mean any length of time and though it may take as long as 10 MILLION years, we of Chaos shall prevail in the end. If the Chaos Gods have no power over the servants of the False Emperor, then why have so many of them such as us "traitor legions", countless members of the IG and the Blood Raven librarian Isador embraced Chaos? Finally, 10,000 years have passed and your emperor still hasn't healed yet. That should be more then enough time for him to heal so why hasn't he?

About our message, it is NOT propaganda but rather the truth that we wish to share with others. That you seek to keep the average imperial citizen from hearing it and other alternative messages shows me that either you view most humans in the Imperium as weak or that you're afraid that they'll rise up against the false emperor upon hearing the truth and realizing that they'd been deceived for the last 10,000 years. Captain Gabriel Angelos is a Blood Raven and look at what he's done. He had his own homeworld of Cyrene destroyed, he killed his best friend Isador AND he destroyed the Alpha Legion's forces on Tartarus all so he could stop the forces of Chaos. If that isn't dedication to the "emperor", then I don't know what is.

We did NOT betray him. The emperor betrayed us! If the Emperor didn't want certain people in his legions, he should have checked on them to ensure that only people he felt that he could trust were in them. Also, the Emperor should have understood that there are people out there who WILL worship him as a god so he should have respected our beliefs. He failed to do either so the "betrayal" of half of his legions to Chaos is his own fault.
