A full colloquium talk presented at KASI.
We applied the extended Alcock-Paczynski test to the Sloan Digital Sky Survey data and measured the equation of state parameter of dark energy causing the accelerated expansion of the universe to be -0.903 ± 0.023 under the flat wCDM cosmological paradigm without combing our data with that from the cosmic microwave background anisotropy measurement. This value of w is 4.2 sigma away from -1, the value for the cosmological constant, falsifying the standard flat Lambda CDM model.
