the concept is good; but the first 2 eps have been very slow paced imo. the entire thing could've been cut into 1 ep and it would've still worked.

@@alveolate I get you, but alot of the modern shows often rush the story because they aren't guaranteed subsequent seasons....i felt the reveal of the multiverse came faster than I expected. If this was Lost they would have only revealed it in the second season LOL

Jaye has probably been to a bunch of different alternate realities looking for the one our Jason is in. I imagine that explains the cell phones. He kidnaps Jason in whatever reality he's in and takes his cell to see if his wife/kid are in the contacts.

yea the multiple low-batt phones just screams he's already done this in other realities before. this is very sinister as it could imply that he's already killed multiple versions of himself in other realities, altho we have no idea what exactly happened yet.

@@alveolate I don't think he killed them, why would he? He probably just robbed them like he did Jason but didn't take them to the box. He found the contacts in Jason's phone so he knew he found the right one to swap with.

Pretty obvious easter eggs, that I haven't seen mentioned any where, are the nods to "It's A Wonderful Life". Besides the theme similarities, Bad Jason goes down the stairs at home, and fiddles with the loose bannister knob... Family Guy Jason goes to his usual bar, and his buddy bartender has no idea who he his / kicks him out. Though it doesn't look like things will resolve as smoothly for this George Bailey :(

Please read this book its soooo good. Jason loves his family so much. You really feel that. I love jason his internal thoughts in the book lets you really get to know him before all the crazy starts. Should be a awesome show! I cant wait plz keep doin these viedos your doin a great job.

I wish Apple would buy Counterpart and 1899. Alot of older properties they could redo or extend. Dark Matter also had a 2010 series that had a good premise of a crew in space waking up on the ship with no memories. Lol

He had a full scenario in his head that was never going to happen, the Narrators has secrets himself that they elude to but don't spell out.

That left turn at the end of episode two really has me hooked. I thought alternate timeline Jason#1 was going to battle being conflicted about the wife that could have been but now that she’s in the shadow realm we can get to work on finding the way back to the original timeline. Apple is on a tear with these sci-fi shows. Def add this to the roster of shows you cover please.

I certainly think Ryan 2 is in on it, probably both Ryans. None of his reactions added up and he's always around when things go bad. Who else knew he was with Jennifer Connelly.

I really do have an issue with the deceased twin son not being mentioned when they talk about having a child. They do not talk like a parent that lost a child, twin or not. They talk about Charlie as if he is an only child. . . "brain explosion" . . . is there a timeline/uni we aren't tuned into yet? Only time will tell (puns are just going to happen I think) How many PJ's are chasing how many EJ's through that needle stack full of needles looking for a needle?

Jason has his cellphone, an iphone, you know the thing everyone uses to take photos. Why doesn't he show them any photos of his family on his phone to prove what he is saying is real? Does he not have photos of his family on his phone?!?!?!?!?!

Speculation. The phones are from different Jasons in different realities. Imposter Jason isnt the same Jason who made the tesseract cube, he is also from a different reality.At least one of the test subjects other than Jason survived the trip and will be back.

I did wonder as I neared the end of episode 2 whether they had run out of story completely. Then they had someone come through a door with a gun in their hand which I guess gave me a reason to keep watching. This show has hired some very high - profile actors to witter about doppelgangers.

Jason was potentially going to sleep with his ‘wife’ in the parallel universe - would you consider that to be technically cheating 😅 sure it looks and is his wife in another reality but not this, and therefore he was going to sleep with someone who he did not really know at all… mmm I wonder how his actual wife would of felt about that 🤣

I find myself annoyed 70% through episode 2 and finding it hard to believe that a professor of Jason's caliber despite all the proof in front of him still hasn't figured out that he is in an alternate reality. I'm so annoyed that I paused the episode to come online to find a review to share this opinion. HIs stupidity is breaking my immersion.

@@lastfewtokes yes I finished it. and I'm curious to see what happen's next. but I still stand by my first point. it took too long for him to figure it out. the entire audience (US) figured it out before he did. and he is supposed to be a professor who was also working on quantum physics. not very smart

I would have at least formed a theory and started looking for the proof to support my theory. but.. its ok... lets see how the next episode goes.

I don’t like this show so much. The plot is slow and nothing seemed like that big of a surprise. I figured “Jaye” was Jason as soon as he knew the phone pass ode and everything since has been a bunch of nothing really. I’ll watch people’s reviews maybe but I’m not gonna watch this series. It’s been done better several times over.

It's a particular problem that I'm watching this just after Constellation, which is an extremely similar set up but done in a much more imaginative way.
