Not sure but my best guess would be they were a version of primitive human rather than a creature but unlike the thought of that version of the world being infested with aliens who wiped out the humans.... I do hope we revisit that maybe with Leighton 2 🤔

Maybe his gameplay was to swap Leightons as Jason 2 clearly wants the best of both worlds! I'm very intrigued about what doors Leighton 2 went through to be so battered and bruised 🤔

That's a good thought about Leighton 3 as he did see Jason 1 going back into the box. This could cause a ripple effect of multiple Leightons exploring the various worlds. Oh and yeah, the sun scene was very unrealistic, they wouldn't have had a chance to open the door from the heat.

@@Q-Dads I used to watch Sliders a lot back in the 90s. I love how some of the worlds Jason and Amanda discovered were a subtle nod to some of the Sliders worlds. I wonder if the book author also watched Sliders. Jason 1 stumbling over the dead cat was neat nod to Schrödinger's cat mentioned in the first episode. I am also wondering if Dawn 1's severed fingers in superposition might have an unexpected effect on Dawn 1. Probably not but this topic was expanded on in a very interesting way in the Bioshock Infinite game. I am just happy to see multiverse sci-fi is back on TV in a big way after the long drought following Slider and Fringe. It is my favourite form of sci-fi next to time travel. There were other contenders but they were either too short or did not expand upon the idea in a way that did the sci-fi justice.

I've heard of Sliders but never got round to watching it, maybe we can do that as a Sci-fi rewatch 🤔 It is nice to see a multiverse series, I agree! Actually looking forward to the endgame of this show as we've not covered the books

​@TwinFlyDSW Let's not forget the Butterfly Effect too You end up with a drastic effect . Daniela 2's death and Amanda 3's death have now changed those worlds, not to mention the havoc that Jason 2 is causing. If you haven't checked out Dark it deals with Time travel and quantum entaglement.

I do agree that it's for the money but to counter that, why would he not just get the money from another reality? Or why would he not go back to his own Leighton and bring him and the money back to this reality 🤔

​@@Q-DadsI don't think you can transport money between realities. It'd have to be cash, but then what if that money is not in circulation in a diff world?

@@Q-Dads How would he get it from another reality that he can't do in the one he is in? And how long would it take since his new family would obviously wonder where he is? Go back to his own leighton? Did you not see what they did to the main Jason? Pretty much made him a prisoner. They thought he was their Jason so they would do the same to him. He wouldn't be able to just show up and say "Hey can I have some money" and then leave. And that's not to mention that even if he could he would discover Leighton isn't even there now. What he is doing is the safest method, will give him more than enough money, and will have zero loose ends upon completion. It will also be by the book and legal instead of him just randomly getting a ton of money that he can't account for. A better question is why would he do it any differently?

We've not read the book, strictly going by the TV only. Thanks, although sometimes we do have a few theories that are more wild than others 😂

I was wondering... Where did they get whatever the heck they are drinking... why is their food laying around in a post nuclear winter world? hahaha Im also wondering, has anyone discovered the box and if so, what happens if they move it? Can they even move it?

Yeah we did question some scenes too especially the lack of atmosphere door, that was questionable. I imagine they are just drinking hot water and eating tinned foods but the whole winter scene was... Different! I'm not sure they can move the box but if they did would it move them all, my question would be more around having multiple boxes in the same reality, would that work? 🤔
