The air is filled with toxic gases. Does anyone survive here?
I enjoy making dark music for a post-apocalypse world. I usually create AI-generated art to use as my inspiration and then try to write music to capture the atmosphere. Although the music can often be creepy, I've found people like to listen to it for relaxation, meditation, as background music when reading or as study music.

It was an exhausting day. It cost me more effort than my previous trip. First the meager yield in the city, then the obscure hovering orb. I don't want to feel that headache again. Later I came to a dusty, monotonous flat land, which led me to huge stone slabs, which in turn prepared an easy path for me over an even bigger, dark gorge like a bridge. What bothers me is thirst. I can manage without food for a long time, but finding clear water quickly becomes a torture. Now I'm standing in front of a vast but unmanageable area which is reminiscent of a swamp. Do I see huge bones sticking out of the ground or rusted steel beams from a previous building? A multiple of paths lead over bubbling brew in places which is in no way water anymore. I can't even think of the silent temptation to taste a small sip of it. The atmosphere has also darkened, making it difficult to pinpoint a time of day in these gray and sinister soups of clouds. Plumes of miasma rise up the swamp, like ghosts abandoning the last life of the earth. This area can only be harmful to me. I pass on a raised bank and hear noises coming from the disgusting pool to my left. My gaze wanders over the area and, at a certain distance, discovers two figures standing on the side by a meter-high object what could be cauldron or something like that. They're both poking around with sticks, dressed in protective gear to withstand the miasma, and talking wildly in unintelligible tones under their masks. To be honest, I want to avoid an encounter, but suddenly I have to cough. Both figures turn around as if struck by lightning. A third figure rises from the roof of the cauldron. All three stare in my direction. The two with the sticks turn to me and communicate in their foreign language. I think I now know what I made my blade for in town. Anything that seeks my life will fall to the blade. In order to get a head start, I move at gunpoint along a wooden path, choking briefly because I now perceive a disgusting stench. The closer I get to the boiler, the more I get the impression there is a woman on the roof. I start waving my blade in the air and yell "You attack me and you'll die. Stop coming near". But fear rises within me, for their staffs are longer than my weapon and I carry equipment that could draw greedy attention and be looted. I see briefly through the haze that there is another town not far away. A safe retreat? No, this city must be dead! Am I the attacker in this situation? Is the woman on the roof in danger or hostile against me? Why did I take courage so hastily?

@@lol311 late to reply, but there are a lot of things that are interpreted differently depending on who you ask or what version of the bible/ denomination of Christianity they follow. The book is very poetic and cryptic. There are also parts of the apocalypse mentioned in other books that happen before or alongside Revelations. It's been a while since I've read the Bible, so I may have events out of order or missed some details, but this is what I remember: A general brief summary is that humans will slowly destroy the world while angels in charge of different aspects of nature allow them to be destroyed. The rivers of the world start to dry up, the fish in the sea are killed off, and most of the trees die. All of this happens while diseases, wars and famines spread though the Earth and natural disasters become increasingly frequent. It is also mentioned at one point that before the apocalypse the kingdom of Israel would be restored. The world is split between 10 governments (called kings) that make war with Israel and drive the world into further tribulation. Eventually a figure referred to as the antichrist sways the world to follow him and unites it under one singular government. He then goes to Jerusalem to build a new temple and declare himself god. At some point a prison in the Earth for evil spirits called Abaddon is opened by an angel name Apollyon and they are released into the world to torment humanity. Along with the spirits come strange flying locust creatures with scorpion tails and human faces that cause a sting that makes one desire death, but keeps them from dying. Followers of the antichrist are somehow given a "mark of the beast" which some interpret as a physical thing and others a spiritual thing. Believers are also given their own mark. Eventually those who refuse the antichrist and believe in Jesus are raptured (brought up into the air.) and meet Jesus as he returns to the Earth. He returns not in peace, but as a warlord riding a horse with a flaming sword. As well as an army of angels behind him. They proceed to slaughter every living thing left on Earth and bathe it in blood and fire. The believers who are saved are then returned to the Earth and Jesus remakes the Earth with new animals and new plants. He rules over it for 1,000 years from Jerusalem as king. People no longer die, animals no longer eat each other. It is 1,000 years of peace. But even after those 1,000 years humanity begins to reject Jesus and rebels. Somehow Satan is released from his binds and they serve him. God (the father) then fully returns to Earth to destroy Satan forever. In the last war to ever happen, Satan is defeated and thrown into a "lake of fire" which many interpret to mean getting erased from all existence. All people who have ever died are then raised from the dead and the final judgement begins. Those deemed irredeemable are also thrown into the "lake of fire" and those deemed righteous are given new bodies to be with God for the rest of all eternity.
