With the castle gatehouse in need of stone, it's time to hit the mines! But what good is all of that stone without a safe studio space to perform copious amounts of chiselling?
If you'd like to support the channel, please consider hitting the Join button. I don't have much to offer in return just yet beyond my gratitude, a world download of this seed generation, and a shout-out in each video, but I'll make sure my cats know who bought them dinner! :)

#SolSaysWhat Sephiroth teasing Cloud with all the peanut butter bars and goodies he got from the vending machines including calling him a twink and saying his jordans are fake and he's crazy for not noticing Tifa. Wow, not only does the mason's workshop look great but also your idea for the fortifications will be really interesting. Kind of like what the Imperial city in Oblivion would've looked like if Bethesda knew architecture. Since apparantly the game can handle you creating rounded arches as a suggestion, use some blind arches forming an arcade to decorate outter walls, that an coffers for inside of domes and arches themselves. Also AH! you are going to use the buttresses. Thanks for the good episode, cannot wait for more.

If you're worried that the bear is spawning inside the barn than light it better. Bear and wolf spawning criteria (according to the json files) include a light-level criteria that appears to be there specifically to keep them out of lit farmland and buildings. (Doesn't apply to sheep, goats, etc. as Kurazarrh noticed in the 2nd VS Guide.)

A pig run design I’ve been using has gates in one block doorways between two block deep pits ranging from 3x4 feeding pits with troughs in the middle to 3x3 sorting pits to 2x2 kill chambers (spear can’t be avoided in a 2x2x2 space if I stand anywhere on the edge) this lets me sort wild pigs from piglets for long term wild pig management as well as at home farming. Also, you could totally have called your stone workshop a mason's lodge!

The word is, alas much misused these days, I see concretors, slab layers and bricklayers now refer to themselves as masons but they are not crafting stones at all, which is the original definition, the old master masons that taught me how to build rock walls for landscaping would be turning in their graves lol.

Thanks to you 7hr video i just bought the game :). Looking at your mod list would you recommend i first go without mods ? Bricklayer, vs villagers and primitive survival mods looks interesting to maybe give color to building and the world. Would you recommend any?
@Solstin
@Solstin 2 ай бұрын
I'd probably always recommend going in with as few mods as you can the first time to get a feel for the various vanilla mechanics. There are a lot of mods that fundamentally change the game, like primitive survival, vs villages, any of the terrain changing mods, etc. Chisel Tools is always a recommended mod in my mind, since it provides features that just save time and make it easier to interact with the already existing chiseling mechanics. After you're familiar with the general mechanics of the game, I'd say go nuts with any mod that looks interesting to you! One BIG thing to keep in mind, though, is to make backups early and often, especially before adding or removing any mods! Some of the more intense mods that add or change things like how terrain generates, villages, or adds a bunch of new items, always come with the risk of rendering your world corrupted or unplayable if a game update conflicts with the mod. I try to stick to mods that mostly just change rates (like the tree seeds mod) or give you new ways to interact with things without altering existing game mechanics (like chisel tools).

#SolSaysWhat since you've done Winnie the Pooh doing Palpatine's speech in creating the Empire, why not do him telling either Piglet or another character from the Hundred Acre Wood about "The tragic tale of Darth Plaguis the Wise"

Haha this is eventually going to evolve into its own alternate universe of the '100 Sector Galaxy'

@@Solstin I'd be all for that honestly! Sounds like it'd be an interesting saga in of itself. Not gonna lie, Pooh being Sidious actually kinda works well. Nobody would expect the lovable honey-eating stuffed bear to be a Sith Lord lol

@@matoromatrian9724 It's the plotline they honestly should have had for Jar Jar. Would've lost my mind if he had been a sith lord the whole time!

@@Solstin I think everyone wanted to see that to be honest. Would've been cool if they had him show up out of nowhere in Rise of Skywalker and literally beat Sidious to a pulp and take the power for himself. They wouldn't even need to call him Jar Jar, as we'd all realize it's him just because he's a Sith gungan. Would've made a better ending than what we got

why you name it eisenholm it feels like you have mix german words with english words
@Solstin

It's a bit of a mix of Germanic and Scandinavian language, basically translates to Iron Island. Anytime I play survival crafting games, I tend to name places in either Old Norse or languages that evolved or borrowed from it. Eisenholm specifically is a bit of a nod to an old world I played on in that other block game where I had built an iron farm and surrounding factory on an island.
