4:51 Life
10:54 The Mist
16:22 Hereditary
19:29 Upgrade
First off, spoiler alert! all of these movie scenes are pivotal moments so check the movie list and make sure I'm not about to ruin any movies you're planning on seeing!
Alright you guys, today I got some dark movie moments for ya. I feel like I've been putting out a lot of downers (dark moments, holy shit moments, savage moments), so the next video is going to be a happy one, dont worry. And yeah I realize that holy shit moments and dark moments are kind of the same thing, the line is definitely a little blurred. But I found these moments particularly dark especially when considering the context, which is why I left these scenes a bit longer than usual. I feel like in this case, context and build up are important for giving you the full effect of the climax of each clip. I really hope you have time to watch the full video, I usually dont like to make them this long but I felt it was worth it for these scenes. Anyways, I hope you enjoy and I hope you all are doing well.
Love you guys, stay safe and be good people.

The boys was just f$&@ing brutal it was honestly so hard to watch a practical god that doesn’t care wether you live or die not out of hatred because of you but because he is indifferent and simply doesn’t want to Then that scene in the mist will forever go down as one of the most brutal, dark and horrific movie endings of all time All they needed was to wait 1 more minute and they would have been saved (that’s why you never give up hope people) Hereditary was just truly horrifying and that seen was terrifyingly real and brutal as well the acting of just sitting there trying to realize what just happened when you know what happened And then Upgrade aaahhh upgrade an absolute HIDDEN GEM that movie ending will forever go down as one of the BEST DARK movie endings ever the soundtrack the reveal the acting the sense that S.T.E.M could care less about any of them and the ending of him waking up in his fantasy while S.T.E.M lives in his body was just FLAWLESS!

The Mist will always have the saddest ending of these for me. The sheer horror of what the poor man has done , all in an attempt to save four good people, one of them his son, from whatever is hunting them in the Mist. He has utterly destroyed himself, he cannot survive this-and then, then in come the rescuers and the survivors. If he'd waited one more minute they could all have lived. The look on his face...

people that have seen The Mist always seem cry about why the dad couldnt have held on just a while longer, but they seem to forget about the confrontation they had with the cult members back in the grocery store. Earlier in the film the leader of the cult suggested that the mans son had to be sacrificed in order to have things go back to normal, and some theories have suggested that the only reason the military showed up at the end was because the boy had finally died. just something to think about

The Mist was one of my favorite stories during childhood(was 10). Fast forward time to my sitting in the theater watching the movie(37 yr old). Now add the fact, I was a father to a young son at the time much like David. Sprinkle a dash of forgetfulness and Director Frank Darabont's new brutal ending and you will have a utterly gut wrenching, soul burning experience. It hit emotionally on a level very few films have ever been able to do. Frank Darabont was also responsible for ShawShank and the Green mile movies (based on King's novels of course)

Hereditary was the best/worst to me, the situation, the reaction the everything was so real. No disconnect from reality, what looked like an allergic reaction causing her to choke causing him to rush causing him to drive causing her to look out the window causing him to swerve causing her to get hit by that pole, the setup the execution the reaction all perfect, he goes to ask if shes ok but stops because he fears the answer, cause he knows the answer, he just says “your okay” and drives off trying not the think or understand what just happened. Its all so real.

The boys was just f$&@ing brutal it was honestly so hard to watch a practical god that doesn’t care wether you live or die not out of hatred because of you but because he is indifferent and simply doesn’t want to Then that scene in the mist will forever go down as one of the most brutal, dark and horrific movie endings of all time All they needed was to wait 1 more minute and they would have been saved (that’s why you never give up hope people) Hereditary was just truly horrifying and that seen was terrifyingly real and brutal as well the acting of just sitting there trying to realize what just happened when you know what happened And then Upgrade aaahhh upgrade an absolute HIDDEN GEM that movie ending will forever go down as one of the BEST DARK movie endings ever the soundtrack the reveal the acting the sense that S.T.E.M could care less about any of them and the ending of him waking up in his fantasy while S.T.E.M lives in his body was just FLAWLESS

Stephen Kings: The Mist will always be number one. Not only are the creatures like the Behemoth absolutely terrifying by scale alone, it’s the ending that solidified this movie in our heads. Sacrificing those people to free them from this nightmare, all for the Mist to clear out and all the survivors/military to appear in the next minute. For me, it’s the realization and regret followed by his breakdown. The Mist is forever one of my favorite films.
