Funnier part about this fight: Canonically Death wasn't at his full power as he wasn't fighting with the Council's authority.

I loved the charecterisation of Samael. He's truly fearless and always has his own schemes in play. He never takes any side, never scared of rattling the established order, the perfect embodiment of chaos.

The game has its flaws for sure, but it's just so atmospheric in combination with the great soundtrack so that I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Nooo, what caused Samael to abandon his throne is when he went against the Destroyer's will and was captured. Corruption is formidable, but keep in mind that Samael was almost powerful enough to take on Lucifer,

Wait, how is this video 6 years old? How has this game been out for that long? Holy shit man. It really doesn't feel that long ago that I was excited for darksiders 1.

I feel Samael always intended to give the key, but wanted to test Death.

You know what's odd about that? Here's the hardest for me in order from weakest to strongest Samael (who I joked around with to make the fight longer), then Absalom (who kept confusing me with his erratic powers), and finally the Archon. I tried to finish that fight quickly, but DAMMIT he was kicking my ass every which way! D:

That...actually makes a lot of sense. Lucifer tries to take over in power, the Council has no choice but to allow the Horsemen to do things their way, and Samael makes them a deal.

Now all the seals are broken and all horsemen have their rightful power we will see in the nextgame. Remember the 4horsemen represent the end of all life, no power can stand against them, I doubt the charredcouncil can now that they know of their betrayal.

Necromancer be like "Always dodge whatever the pattern and release your damn crows!" Rarely fights himself, and if it's the case, eat some demon blows. That's kind of weird, for an (rpg) hack'n'slash game, not to kick some asses yourself. Each gamer his style, and i have no issues with the path you chose, but sadly, i can't use your video for my Harbinger character. I have to melee him and therefore find breaches in his patterns. BTW, this Necro built reminds me my 1st playthrough on Borderlands 2, with a Commando character (the one that can use a combat turret). The turret were very efficient, but at some point, i wonder with i threw it only to hide myself and wait there were no enemies left. From that day i avoid carefully the builds that allow you to deal with enemy hidden, with some kind of auto aim action skill. (sorry for the HS, and thanks for the video, i'm sure it's very helpfull for Necro builds!).

in my game this boss is bugged... he simply wont drag the floor too him so he keep falling into the lava... and when I finally kill him he just dissapear... what can i do to prevent this?

yeah i know it sounds crazy and/or stupid but many in the near future when they make like the final darksiders game u could play not only the four horsemen themselves but play as Samael aswell just a thought though

Eh, it's POSSIBLE that all four of them could beat him under the right conditions, though I'd have to agree that the likelihood that they'd be able to isn't exactly likely. Especially considering that they show off Samael as practically a demon god.

Death wasnt using his full power either. Hopefully in DS3 hell have it. They seemed equal in strength and speed, death overpowered him and matched his speed. Also death cant die, hes invulnerable, says so in the DS1 comic which came with the game.

Those hearts of chosen one made him very next to the god and by theory without broken seal hourse men are not as deadly so i think samuel was in that condtion

Oh yes, gameplaywise he was an easy boss(archon I think is the hardest by comparison), but it's like, you put all your effort into taking him down, and by the end of the fight he's like, "Lol, good show"

I take it u are refering to Samael becoming godlike in the first game.But if i am not mistaken the second game took place before the first one.So Samael isnt that strong now that Death is facing him.I might be mistaken though.

Well it was pretty fast. And he was not such a treat. I expected something bigger for the final battle and with sure more quests at Shadow lands. First part of the game is all in Makers lands, now only one fight at the end. I am not dissapointed, I love this game, but I was ready to kill the whole hell with Lilith on top. It finished too fast for me.

He cudnt kill shit stop lying. Wasnt implying anything samuel was just stroking hes ego and threatening a heavily depowered war. Death battled a fully powered samuel to a stand still even though he didnt have all his power. Id argue a fully powered death with the seals broken can do it by himself.
