Personally i think the spider location is quite easier (where you encounter your 2nd bigass spider) since when you go to the entrence of silitha's lair (just outside the big door) and return the spiders have respawned, they also swarm alot so you get more hits per attack (30 combo with an scythe special attack, 60 for tremor) you can reuse this cycle endlessly

No matter what level Chaoseater is at, if you get the Armageddon blade, it's automatically at level 4.

@tekren6 Getting the Armageddon Blade does not limit you in any way, and in fact is the only way to get the achievement/trophy. You can still purchase everything after getting it, and still level the other weapons. You need the Armageddon Blade to get the achievement, a maxed out chaoseater does NOT work. As well, you do not need to max out chaoseater before getting the Armageddon Blade. Once you get the Blade, it is "maxed."

it is in the path between Scalding Gallow and Dry Road. Hint: use the voidwalker.

forgot to add: you can also get your devastator achieve/throphy @ the spider spot mentioned below (below the bigass door in iron canopy, go right, grind, get back to the door, go right grind) just gather some spiders and execute the attack

@TeraQuad yes, he stated you need to buy all non-consumable upgrades for weapons excluding the empty vessels.

Normal scythe, I don't get the harvester for the videos. You can get the achievement with either one. The look doesn't change as you level up.

@tekren6 you mean grab replace the Chaoseater with the Armageddon Blade? Just play through the story. If that isn't what you mean, please clarify.

have you purchased all of non-consumables from the first tab at Vulgrim's? also, make sure you have the armageddon blade.

The Scythe is the default weapon, you have to unlock the Harvester with a special code. The harvester is more powerful and has different combat moves. The scythe is in this video, not the harvester.

@cheeto4231 There is one big room of spiders before the room with the five spider seal. Running between these two rooms is quick and easy. Run in, kill spiders, run out, repeat. Mindless, but its easily the fastest way to gain xp. I leveled the scythe and the gauntlet once each in less than 30 minutes.

If you want even more souls, Press start, go into options, on the left is an option that says "Enter Code" select that option and type in The Hollow Lord. You'll get Death's Scythe which grants more souls than the ordinary scythe, and you can get it for free rather than buying it from Vulgrim.

you do not need all of the enhancements. Just maximum level scythe and tremor gauntlet, armageddon blade, and all combat moves from Vulgrim. make sure to check the updated version! Link in the description/annotations.

I've been wondering this for a while but what's More useful, the Armageddon blade or the chaos eater as a level 4 with wars glory? I'm at the part to have ulthane make the sword but I'm not sure whether to go with the chaps eater or not. (I already have beaten the game once, I saved before I went to ulthane)

trying to get battle harded ach. was woundering i know you need all upgades and be maxed out for all weapons but i just got the armageddon blade and i know for the chaoseater i only have 3/4 ths of it filled dos that matter since i got the better blade now ? or is there a way to change swords? please and thanks if you can help me out

if i might suggest an alternate route, start where he started. but work your way from scalding barrow to crossroads then back again because all of the enemies have respawned along the path you just came from. basically the only difference is you don't go through the serpent holes..

so if i have every weapon ability that you buy from vulgrim, do i need to upgrade my weapons all the way to lvl 5? my chaoseater is lvl 5 and my sycthe is close to that but my tremor gauntlet is only lvl 2 (first lvl up. the game says its lvl 1) but once i get that last ability for the tremor gauntlet at lvl 3 and get the armageddon blade will i get this achievement? also, when it says COMPLETE the game on apocalyptic, does that mean beat it 100%? thanks

I know what you mean - the enemies get stronger at the same rate. the only way i judged was being able to one hit kill the zombies after leveling up.

@AQWorldMelzar yes u can but if u try to finish off the last boss again ( fight him again ) it just plays the last 2 video clips, no fight.

I have a few questions regarding this achievement. Is maxing out Chaoseater required/does Armageddon share Chaoseaters level? If I opt to unlock the Harvestor would that make this achievement impossible? Or would I have to get the Scythe to max before I unlock the Harvestor, or get the Harvestor to max instead? Thanks :)

Maybe someone can answer this question, On the Pause Menu under "Character" there are 4 slots on the right. One shows current Lifestone Shards, One shows Wrath Shards. 2 Below that show your Abyssal Armor progression and your Armageddon Blade Progression. Below those two is a blank circle. What goes int he blank circle UNDERNEATH them?

you are in the black throne in your first/current playthrough? you will get it this time around, then. getting the armageddon blade is part of the story, after the black throne.

You DONT need all enhancements, it's enough to simply buy all the moves, get armageddon and level scythe and gloves.

in the spider area i found 4 rooms full of spiders and just went back and forth through the rooms and finished that way and there was no teliporting.. i think it would be a little faster than this way.

How do I fill the armagedon slot?

No, although i am not 100% sure, i think i got it while i was still missing one legendary enhancement.

GO to the spider place. Get out of the room you fight the boss at. go left. jump down there are spiders there. kill them. Then jump upwards close to the door that you just left then go back down to the spiders again. they will respawn everytime you get up and out of the room. Killing spiders will level up your weapon fast and its easy just time consuming buy less than thirty minutes per level.

@moonkill3 yo, try doing (RB + Y, while standing still) combo, that worked best for me doing the gauntlet. also punching something twice and then abyssal chain pulling them makes for an interesting ping pong match.

@espenmykl your problem is the harvester, it messes up the achievement, only way to get it is to start a new game without the harvester. (don't put in the code)

u can start a new game with the stuff u ended with but if u do it on apociliptic get the abyssal armor cause it helps ALOT!!!

The easiest way to get this is play it on Apocalyptic and instead of using the Chaoseater use the Scythe or the Gauntlet.. That's the way I did!!
