For the Ayphid creatures, I lock onto them and dodge when they start their “slicey” attack. Once they are down to the ground, I run up on them and jump in the air and come down on them with my “Skeletal Axe of Rending.” It gives you health and does heavy damage to them. Very affective against them

Folks, as much as I love Kuddlesnot's walkthrough for Darksiders 2, the fight at 14:30 can absolutely be done WITHOUT Reaper Form BUT I highly recommend using either a possessed weapon with high damage or the Omega Blades and make the dodge ability your best friend! The two large enemies in that room do hit HARD! I somehow managed to beat them with only 2 potions but I was on the verge of Death after I beat them (no pun intended but it is rather appropriate).
