PS...I’m almost done reading a Darksiders book titled “The Abomination Vault” and judging by your retention of the lore, I think you’d REALLY enjoy this book!! It takes place centuries before the games and introduces you to Urial as a young soldier etc....very cool!!

I got my hands on it recently, but have only read the Prologue and a little bit of the first chapter. The prologue is definitely intriguing!

Lore Logs oh man just wait! Same thing happened with me....I started it n wasn’t too into it as much as i thought I’d be so set it down for a few months....finally ended up returning to it and imo it’s not too eventful til about chapter 7 or 8 when all the horsemen n shit get introduced!

Push through to chapter 8 and then lose my mind. Got it, hehe.

1. That hasn't really been explained. He kind of just did. He says he "heard the call", but the others didn't. So we don't really know (or I can't accurately remember). 2. The Seven Seals are there to represent the truce between Heaven and Hell which is meant to hold until mankind is ready to participate in the war for the universe. Think of them as the lights in a stoplight, it's red as long as the seals are there, once it's hits green (all seals are broken) everyone can go at each other's throats. The Horseman job is to uphold the truce and prevent the war for starting prematurely, not prevent it from starting altogether. Once the war starts, their job is to go into the battle as judge, jury and executioner, smiting the wicked. 3. I can't say why the ENTIRE universe will be against him, but we have three major players: the Charred Council, Heaven and Hell. War himself is against the Council as they wrongly imprisoned him and set him up; he killed five big guns from Hell (not to mention scores of lesser demons); and he has quite a few angel kills under his belt too, even if the Destroyer had betrayed Heaven and would've been sentenced to death anyway, the other dozens of angels War killed had committed no known crimes.

1. The Council somehow knew of Abaddon's plan to break the six seals and prematurely start the war, so they secretly sent War to punish him. Since the last seal was never broken, they couldn't "officially " send all Horsemen, so they decided to summon only one, and then they blamed him for everything to feed his sense of vengeance so that War would want to kill the Destoyer/Abaddon. That's why only War appeared on Earth as far as I know, and that's how the Council manipulated War to do their bidding.

@@Pumplymooze Yeah, yeah. That's better explained. It's been a while since I played this. One small thing though, they knew of Abaddon's deed, not his plan. They called War AFTER the fact, not before. Otherwise they would've prevented Abaddon from breaking six of the Seals in the first place. But, like I said, minor detail. Good explanation, mate!

Darksiders 2 starts just after Darksiders 1 starts. Death goes off on his adventure while War is imprisoned by The Council.

I heard that the game already made back what it cost them to make, so there's hope for Darksiders 4. Personally, I'm also hoping it gets made. I really want to play as Strife. If you want, you can get the story of Darksiders 2 from the video I made on it.

The Council faked the call so that he would go and they could then use him to do their dirty work.

@@rr-ll7ze Arnold Bartosevic Here's my best guess from what I can remember. The Hellguard knew the Seals were breaking so they were gathered and ready. As for the forces of Hell, they noticed the Seals were breaking and started gathering on their "spawn point" (for lack of a better term). Once they were gathered, the Hellguard attacked with the excuse that Hell's generals were breaking the treaty (as plan) and then all the fighting broke out. In short, it was Heaven's plan, so they were gathered and ready. Hell was getting ready because they felt the Seals breaking one after the other. Heaven makes the first strike. And war begins.

Some Dynasty Warriors mechanics added in would actually be pretty cool. Then again, I like Dysnasty Warriors, so I'm probably biased.

Been a while since I played the game. But if I recall correctly it was because he was being stripped of his powers by the Council.

Probably artistic choice from the designers. All part of representing how they're the opposite to angels and from "down bellow" (Hell). That's my guess anyway.

Be aware when you do, there is a lot of gameplay. Gets a little repetitive by the end (or maybe it was just the fact that I never learned to do any combos other than repeatedly smashing the main attack button, haha). At any rate, it's a good game and I'm looking forward to Darksiders 2.

"The number of rider shall ever be four" (pretty sure I'm paraphrasing that), meaning, that no matter what happens to them before the Seven Seals are broken, the Four Horsemen will be present once the Seals are broken, at the Apocalypse, to punish the wicked. No official explanation has been given for it. It's just accepted as canon that they simply come back to life when it's time to fulfill their contract.

I said that: War comes across Abaddon; Abaddon can't believe War's there; War falls; Abaddon is crushed. At no point did I state that War lost power because of Abaddon and I stated that Abaddon gets crushed after War falls to his knees. Also, saying that War was "feeling even weaker" should allow you to infer that he lost power again.

Uriel says: You will be hunted! The White City for certain... The Council... And... There will be others." At the time of Darksiders we only knew of three factions: Heaven (The White City), Hell and the Council. Uriel states the former two, so it is assumed that she meant Hell when she spoke of "others". And so, the script was written as such. Now we know there's even more factions in the universe. Did she mean Hell? There's a good chance she included them when she said "others". Did she mean other factions beyond the aforementioned three? Maybe. But there's no way to know for sure.

Make your own video rather than blowing his up if you don't think he is right.

While it is true that the first time the Council talks about the Seals they that "When the Seventh Seal is broken Four Horsemen shall ride forth to punish the wicked" However, it is widely accepted that it's supposed to be all of the Seals as this is the one and only time that they refer to only the Seventh. In that same conversation war yells that "The Seals were broken! I was summoned." (Seals in plural) To which the Council replies that they are "all" intact. Later, when Azrael confesses everything to War he states, "We broken all but one... We... Dared not involve the Horsemen." So, as you can see, that first time is the one and only time it is said that the Horsemen will be called when the Seventh is broken. Every other single time every character that talks about the subject states that all Seven Seals would have to be broken in order to summon the Horsemen.
